As a Scrum Master you will play a crucial role in supporting the Scrum Team, including the Scrum Product Owner and the broader organization, in adopting and mastering Scrum practices. Your responsibilities include fostering an understanding of Scrum theory and practice, both within the team and the organization. Acting as a servant leader, you'll be accountable for the Scrum Team's effectiveness by creating conditions for successful delivery through facilitation, coaching, teaching, and mentoring.
Role Overview:
- Guide and coach the Scrum Team on utilizing Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality products and services to our customers.
- Elevate the team's performance levels by recognizing strengths and areas for improvement, applying appropriate coaching and development techniques.
- Coach the Scrum Team in self-organization, cross-functional skill development, domain knowledge, and effective communication both internally and externally working within the Scrum team.
- Collaborate with the Scrum Team, internal and external stakeholders, to influence decision-making and support organizational project or product teams.
- Build a culture together with the team that promotes inclusion, well-being, and social sustainability. Resolve conflicts between team members to foster and maintain a high-performing team.
- Support software development process improvement activities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take the lead in defining the Scrum Way of working, both at the team level and offering support at the company level.
- Prioritize and make decisions on improvements from retrospectives, lessons learned or other sources
for improvments of Scrum Way of working.
Skills & Qualifications:
- University degree in software engineering or equivalent field.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in facilitation, negotiation, and coaching.
- Experience in teamwork, including collaboration with distributed teams.
- Scrum Master certification and proficiency in refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques.
- Experience using one or more agile frameworks and methods (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
- Experience of an agile management tool, such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Excellent skills in Software Development Life Cycle management.
