Patent Unit Gothenburg Rosenheim is part of Ericsson’s Patent Creation Management Organization and is responsible for providing IPR support for Ericsson’s R&D centres from all over the world and for a range of further IPR related tasks.

What you will do
•    Provide IPR support for Ericsson’s R&D operations wherein you will work closely with inventors and innovative technology. In this role you will in particular focus on building a world class patent portfolio.
•    Being responsible for a patent docket, you evaluate inventions and take value-based filing and prosecution actions including the drafting and prosecution of patent applications.
•    Participating in key projects supporting licensing and litigation, such as patent mining, business driven claim chart generation, rebuttal, technical discussions or work with reverse engineering.
•    Depending on your qualification and interest you will engage in patent portfolio management, oppositions and/or nullity actions to contribute to the value creation from our patents.
•    Engage in working groups and projects to improve operations and strategies.


You will bring
•    Master degree in engineering, physics or computer sciences 
•    Understanding of telecommunication technologies
•    At least partly qualified European Patent Attorney
•    Patent Attorney qualification from another jurisdiction is a plus
•    Experience as inventor or from standardization work is a plus
•    AI-based drafting skills are a plus

The Core Network Engineering Unit at Ericsson is at the forefront of driving innovation in the Packet Core domain, playing a pivotal role in our technology leadership. What skills you bring

What you will do
In you we see a skilled power designer and mentor, that can take part in early technology studies, predevelopment, realization, and validation in products, to build an optimized solution.

As a senior designer you are involved from a high level, setting the power architecture down to design of Point of load converters. Protection and supervision circuits, electromagnetic Interference filters, isolated converters and magnetic design is fundamental and seen as core knowledge. There will be opportunities to investigate different areas, and we believe you will find it exciting to support in a variety of tasks. Hence, you should have a driving personality and like networking and building contacts. You will bring

We are looking to recruit a Software Developer

What you will do
Be an integral part of your teams feature development; from study phase to implementation phase and on to test and delivery.
Work with some of the best software developers in Sweden.
Have the possibility to try to set the next world record within mobile packet switching.
Become a specialist in C coding and IP protocols.


You will bring
A passion for software development and love to continuously experiment.
Problem-solving skills, you enjoy digging into sophisticated problems.
BSc or MSc level in Computer Science or the equivalent level of knowledge.


Technologies we use
Linux development, Microservices.
C for product implementation, and Java and Python for System Test.
L2/L3, Routing, 3GPP
TCP, UDP, L2TP, TLS
Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, Amazon EKS, OpenStack, VMware


Our products put high technical requirements on the team, including high-performance application development, low latency requirements, multi-threaded programming, embedded development, DPDK knowledge and framework design in the IP Connectivity competence area.
We develop in a Linux environment, and code is committed to Git repositories. We are proud of our modern Continuous Integration and Deployment frameworks using Jenkins with over 2500 commits per month and weekly pre-deliveries to customers

As a Developer in this position, you work in one of our highly skilled software teams. The team’s tasks include responsibilities from all development stages of the software life cycle from planning, requirement analysis, software and system design, implementation and testing, continuous improvement, and maintenance. What you will do

Develop software for future high performing telecom products.
Work in an Agile team with responsibility from pre-study to release and customer acceptance for new functionality.
Work closely with other product development and CI teams located both in Gothenburg and other international sites.
Perform troubleshooting and customer support.
Drive continuous improvements of products and ways of working.
Develop competence in the technical domain.

You will bring
Core competences for a Software Developer:
A passion about software development and great care for well-crafted software.


MSc or BSc level in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science or similar.
Knowledge about concepts in telecommunication and radio link technology.
Programming skills in object-oriented programming languages such as C/C++. Other programming languages are highly valuable as well.
Testing competence with a focus on Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Quality.
Focus on innovation and delivering high quality results.
Drive commitments with high energy.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.



Preferable competences:
Git and Gerrit.
Google Test.
Docker, Kubernetes.
Scripting skills.
Linux user experience.
