We are looking for…
An ICT Senior Service Desk Engineer with an appetite to learn and with a willingness to delve into details when problem solving. A skilled professional who enjoys working on a variety of systems and with people at all levels of the organization. As an ICT Senior Service Desk Engineer you will be joining ICT Operations and Support in our Gothenburg office. Please note this is predominantly an onsite position.
Main focus of this role is to deliver friendly and efficient service, advice and technical support to Ascom’s own personnel. In this role you will work broadly in IT and user support, and more specifically with frameworks and tools such as Windows OS, Microsoft 365, network technologies and other global platforms. You will administer permissions and rights in Active Directory, so it is important that you have experience in this area as well.You will be working with our internal systems making certain that end users within Ascom are supported as well as ensuring that Ascom’s communication systems, security systems, centralized storage and server platforms are operative, continuously developed and secured. Please note that this role does not involve working with our own proprietary products or systems.
You will balance your time between service desk and infrastructure tasks in the Gothenburg data center. You will also participate in an on-call rotation every 6-7 weeks to support our critical systems with troubleshooting. In this role you will be reporting to Global ICT Infrastructure Manager.

Our Ideal Candidate has ...
BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related technical discipline Certifications MCSE or Microsoft Azure Administrator
3+ years working knowledge and experience with Azure environments and configuration and administration of physical and virtual servers (i.e. Dell & HPE hardware, VMware & Hyper-V Hypervisors) in a data center environment.
Good knowledge and competence within the area of LAN, WAN, WiFi and TCP/IP based communication platforms
Good knowledge within the area of Cyber Security including firewalls, reverse proxies, load balancing systems and certificate infrastructure.
Deep competence with Office365, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint Online platforms.
Deep competence within the areas of Microsoft AD, Entra (Azure) AD, Azure Administration, Azure governance, Azure Identity as well as client/server computing and networking in an international multi-site corporate IT environment.
Good competence within the area of virtualization technologies, storage, and underlying hardware platforms.
Good competence within the area of DNS management, internal as well as external.
Ability to speak English fluently as well as to, within the competence area of this position, write general and technical documents.
Ability to conversational Swedish.
Ability to work alone as well as to co-operate with others both inside and outside the team and the company.

- Coordinate, support and motivate the sales channels of Ascom to promote, sell, distribute, and support the company’s range of solutions.

Required competencies
- Bachelor’s or Masters’s Degree in a relevant university degree in information technology, or related fields or equivalent experience.

- Proven experience in the areas of Product Management, Product Marketing, and/or Business Development
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of IT/MT systems configurations and background with In-depth knowledge and understanding of healthcare segment needs.
- Professional level of written and verbal communication skills in English
- Fluent in at least one of the languages Swedish / Danish / Norwegian
- B driving license

Performance: Meet product performance targets provided by sales organizations (Regions, OEMs, Partners, etc.

Modernization: Drive modernization of the mobility portfolio through evolution paths for existing customers, identification of new customers and opportunities, and exploration of new areas for interoperability. Develop and execute long-term strategy and mid/short-term plans to support global portfolio competitiveness.

Product Management: Consolidate a diverse portfolio and establish and maintain market knowledge within the team. Communication: Build and establish strong method of communications with all stakeholders. Align product roadmap with segment manager to ensure a cohesive product offering.

Your background:

- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Marketing, Technology, Business Management, or related field

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in product marketing, product management, and/or portfolio management

- Solid technical understanding of Ascom’s and industry-relevant product and solutions (e.g. healthcare IT, mobile communications, software)

- Strong experience in marketing activities for complex business-to-business products and applications; and in creating sales tools to support regional sales, partners, and OEM channels.

- Excellent overall knowledge and understanding of the segment/use cases the specific product is targeting. (e.g., mobility solutions in; clinical workflows, OEM business or Enterprise segment)

At Global R&D System Integration & verification department you will work with Android and IOS Smartphones Windows clients and Windows servers as well as own developed hardware platforms and systems. Responsibilities

- Develop testcases for our medical devices

- Run test cases on our medical devices

- Review system architecture and re-create it in test environments

- Install and configure test systems in our lab.

- Review system requirements and software requirements and based on that, design test scenarios.

- Participate in reviews of requirements, test cases.

- Design manual test cases.

- Design and automate test cases in our test framework in Python.

- Execute automated and manual test cases and follow up result.

- Collaborate with colleagues and partners in Ascom’s global organization.

Qualifications

- Degree of Master of Science or Bachelor of Science from field of IT or Computer science.

- You have at least 2-3 years of experience in related areas,

- Fluent in Swedish and English, speech and writing.

- Experience of programming used within the test area like Java and Python.

Product Manager - Repair Services

Come and join our great team in Gothenburg responsible for the Global Service & Operations at Ascom. As the Product Manager for repair services you will be the business owner of Ascom’s RMA process and repair service, where customers send their faulty hardware to Ascom to be swapped for new units or repaired and shipped back to the customer.

This is a multi-faceted role that includes collaboration with many internal and external stakeholders, the supply team, quality assurance, ICT, local sales companies, our repair partners and others.

To be successful in this role you need to have a technical background, experience from after sales services and are process oriented. You have a commercial mindset and understand the customer perspective.

Key accountabilities

- Manage the repair services portfolio towards all sales channels and secure introduction of new repair services
- Coordinate and work with the other Product Managers (global and regional) to create overall solutions. Implementation and continuous improvement of the global IT tools to improve performance and efficiency
- Analysis of market requirements and competitors (service level and pricing)
- Define and monitor appropriate KPI: s for the service.
- Drive and lead the repair business forum with the local operational teams.
- Manage the product repair life cycle
- Collaboration and prioritization with logistics, supply and product quality on issues related to performance and repair backlogs.
- Actively work with the channels to improve the repair offering and increase the repair revenue


Your background

The candidate for this role should have:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent

- 3-5 years’ experience in Product Management, preferably from services
- Experience in creating short and long-term product plans, including business case, ROI analysis, product pricing, cost/resource modelling and forecasting.
- Executive level, high level skills in presenting customer support offerings to the market with a strong focus on the benefits for the customer
- Experience of logistic flows in a global business to business setup
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in English is a must, Swedish preferred
- Team player with the ability to drive and motivate others

- Provide 3rd level support for Ascom Regions, growth market partners and OEM

Qualifications

- Relevant engineering degree (Computer, Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent training is preferred)

- Strong IP-knowledge

- Experience in Remote Infrastructure Support in Windows, VMware, AWS , SCCM and Citrix technologies.

- Experience of trouble shooting in mission critical systems

- CCNA, CCNP or CompTIA certified or equivalent.
