As Polestar grows, we need to continue to strengthen our Internal Controls team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced and challenging organization. This role will be part of the Polestar global internal controls team and be located at Polestar HQ in Gothenburg. This role reports to the Global Head of Internal Control.
What you'll do
You will join a global, dynamic team that currently consists of nine colleagues. Your main responsibility will be to advise business operations on internal controls over financial reporting to meet the requirements of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX). Key responsibilities/activities will include:
Coach and advise management and business operations to identify risks over financial reporting, design and carry out effective controls and remediate identified deficiencies
Provide training to employees to enhance awareness of Internal Controls and SOX requirements and to empower control owners
Manage and oversee periodic testing of design and operating effectiveness of internal controls
Analyze results, draw conclusions, and report on the strength of Polestar’s control environment
Participate in business operations improvement activities and propose ways to enhance existing processes over time
Regularly interact with senior stakeholders/managers within the organization, both verbally and in writing

Polestar has a global footprint, and you will be interacting and collaborating with a diverse and international team of colleagues in all areas of the business.

Who you are
You have a relevant university degree and a minimum of five years financial audit or internal control experience, preferably with a technical accounting and/or Big 4 background. You have knowledge of SOX requirements and the COSO control framework. Certifications such as CA, CPA or ACA are preferred, but not required.
For this role, you need to have a strong business acumen, be curious and performance driven, and enjoy the challenge of unfamiliar tasks. You are a fast learner who can embrace change and adapt quickly to accommodate the needs of a growing business. You can multi-task and prioritize based on relevance. You excel at both critical thinking and communication (which includes active listening) to be able to understand the management perspective and propose creative solutions.
This position will involve limited international travel, the vast majority of the work will be performed in Gothenburg. As part of an international business, you are expected to be fluent in English in both written and oral communication.

Who you are
Bachelors/Master's degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
Minimum of 4-5 years of experience designing and developing high impact data science projects

Comfortable writing complex queries for data extraction and manipulation.
Proven experience with one of the cloud technologies (AWS, Azure or GCP)
Familiarity with foundational LLM (Large Language Models) Models such as GPT, Falcon, Llama, Mistral etc
Experience developing Generative AI based applications using RAG, vector databases, chain of thought, prompt engineering, fine-tuning and Knowledge graphs

What you'll doThis role has two main responsibility areas. One is to actively contribute with controlling expertise in join venture contract setup and have a close dialogue with the different parties of the contracts, ie business side and various finance areas as well as the join venture. The role also includes to secure that all join venturerelated recharges are done according to contract terms and follow up of payments.
The second responsibility area include total Capex controlling, both tangible and intangible, short and long term and reporting of it to different stakeholders. Also related cashflow effects are part of your responsibilities. Role also include ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions.
As this is a new role within controlling, part of the role will be to set the up the way of working both with the join venture and continue the work to develop the capex reporting and forecasting.You willreport to the Operational Business Control Manager.
Examples of tasks:
Responsible for consolidated capex reporting. Actual, forecast and business plan with support from programs, both balance sheet timing and cash flow
Responsible for vendor tooling controlling, including ensuring correct ordering and properclassification of company assets and follow up on activation, depreciation periods, scrapping etc
Responsible to oversee total join venture setup from controlling perspective, eg lead and drive the unit investment fee and royalty recharge and true up as towards the join venture and secure payment.
Take active part in contract setup with join ventureto secure correct financial implication of contracts as well as proactively set up controlling processes to be able to track related costs for recharge
Actively interact with global functions to secure correct reporting and follow up, ie with join venture, treasury, business office, tax, accounting, PACD, operations etc
Become a member that will actively contribute to develop the controlling team

What you’ll do Function and system development within AD / ADAS is crucial to the success Polestar’s ambition to the one of the top EV premium brands in the world. This ensures that the functions and systems are fully verified and validated on all levels. Now we are especially searching for test engineers within software and systems. You will be responsible for the test and validation of the AD/ADAS functions and systems. You belong to the function team and are supported both by other test engineers but also the Function owner or the function of system under test. You as a test engineer is responsible for but not limited to:
Understanding and working to constraints such as commonality and carry-over systems
Coordination of test plans, including samples, fixtures, schedules, signoffs, witnessing tests, and sample reviews
Prepare, publish and issue engineering test reports ensuring wanted functionality and performance
Planning strategies for test development, documenting in technical/logical plans, reporting on the status, revising based on inputs, and being rational in raising concerns or issues
Propelling multidisciplinary testing, by leading or supporting cross disciplinal views from requirement to test case.

What you'll do

What you’ll do
In this role you will be responsible for and fully focused on the quality of Polestar products. What you’ll do

Function and system development within AD/ADAS is crucial to the success Polestar’s ambition to the one of the top EV premium brands in the world. This ensures that the functions and systems are fully verified and validated on all levels. Now we are especially searching for test engineers within software and systems.

You will be responsible for the test and validation of the AD/ADAS functions and systems. You belong to the function team and are supported both by other test engineers but also the Function owner or the function of system under test.

You as a test engineer is responsible for but not limited to:

- Understanding and working to constraints such as commonality and carry-over systems

- Coordination of test plans, including samples, fixtures, schedules, signoffs, witnessing tests, and sample reviews

- Prepare, publish and issue engineering test reports ensuring wanted functionality and performance

- Planning strategies for test development, documenting in technical/logical plans, reporting on the status, revising based on inputs, and being rational in raising concerns or issues

- Propelling multidisciplinary testing, by leading or supporting cross disciplinal views from requirement to test case.

Your main responsibilities:

- Lead and manage multiple teams within the Digital Industrial Domain.
- Define the strategic global digital Industrial plans and technology roadmaps together with our strategy team, and secure alignment with the overall global strategic business plan.
- Build, grow and retain the right talent for the digital delivery teams
- Work with global stakeholders both within business (internally and externally), and digital, and build trust-based relationships
- Sponsor and deliver digital projects and initiatives in alignment with requirements
- Work with senior management and other peers for strategy development and execution planning across functions and within the team.
- Create & monitor budget activities, make responsible decisions and adjust operations as appropriate to the environment and adapt cost-effective planning
- Set goals, provide feedback, appraise performance, and help your team develop
- Be accountable for that all digital solutions are secure and meet all global regulatory, privacy and other requirements
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, IT, and external partners, to ensure seamless implementation and adoption of digital solutions.
- Oversee the collection, storage, and analysis of industrial data to derive actionable insights that drive efficiency, optimize resource allocation, and inform strategic decisions..
- Manage a team of skilled professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages continuous learning and growth.
- Identify potential risks and cybersecurity threats related to digital systems and processes, implementing measures to mitigate these risks and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential applicability to our operations and advising on their integration.
- Engage with technology vendors and external partners to evaluate and select solutions, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure successful implementation and ongoing support.

You have a clear understanding of the business challenges and targets within the Industrial domain and a clear focus on business needs and sense of urgency. You have the ability to manage a large organization, to motivate others and have excellent communication skills. You are transparent, customer oriented and curious to learn new things and strive for continuous improvement.

Furthermore we believe you have:

- BSc or MSc in Data Science/IT/Management/Technology or equivalent degree

- 10+ years of experience in Automotive/Digital and IT Management

- Previous experience from working within the Industrial domain, understanding Industrial and Finance processes

- Passion for driving digital transformation in a production landscape and it’s surroundings and interfaces to Manufacturing partners

- Eager to feel the Industrial heartbeat and can’t wait to join the team.
