The opportunity
We're currently looking for a Pre-Owned and Whole Life Costs Manager to join our Global Fleet Sales team in order to support the Polestar pre-owned programme, whole life costs and residual value reporting, provide market support and maintain process documentation. Someone with a passion for electric mobility, an interest in technology, and a desire to create the change we know is needed.
This position can operate on a remote basis, located in one of our European Markets.
The responsibilities
In this role, you'll be expected to drive the regular assessment of Polestar vehicle costs throughout their lifecycle, including purchase, financing, service, maintenance and repair, insurance, fuel, and depreciation. You will work with a number of HQ functions such as Global Fleet Sales, EMEA & ROW sales, digital, finance, legal, product, brand and marketing. The position will also interface with stakeholders in our markets as well as external stakeholders such as leasing companies, RV setters and influencers.

Carry out analysis relating to current and future residual value trends in key markets, including trend analysis relating to Polestar’s and its competitors’ products.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve Polestar vehicle competitiveness.
Conduct ongoing analysis of global pre-owned automotive market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities.
Provide detailed reports and forecasts related to Polestar pre-owned vehicle sales performance, by developing and maintaining comprehensive sales and forecast reports and identifying growth opportunities.
Maintain and update Polestar pre-owned program documentation in Confluence, ensuring all process changes and updates are properly documented.
Build and maintain a Polestar pre-owned onboarding process for our new investor partners.
Resolve daily operational queries from market teams, providing solutions and best practice advice.
Managing Polestar’s data provider, residual value and TCO tools and the provision of car to market studies.
Support the organisation of whole life cost events.

The ideal candidate

What you’ll do:
The Polestar Software Integration and Test team is responsible for the design and development of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) rigs ,box cars and the software testing of Electronic Control Units (ECUs). As a Verification & Validation Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing HIL rigs. Collaborating with your colleagues, you will perform HIL development and testing activities, establishing the necessary processes and workflows. Your duties will include setting up processes, defining ways of working, executing tests, and analysing results to ensure the highest quality and performance of our ECUs
Your responsibilities will be:
Design and develop automated test scripts and tools for test rigs
Collaborate with development teams to Design and Construct HILs according to needs
Support our internal customers in a way that makes HIL usage effective and successful.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the HIL infrastructure.
Propose solutions as well as bring support to define requirements to the present and future in the growing area of HIL.
Work with team to maintain and improve the automated testing infrastructure.
Maintain and improve the testing infrastructure with regards to simulations and plant models.
Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in test automation and HIL development.

Who you are

Broad knowledge and experience of Treasury processes and systems
Good comprehension and experience of Cash Management and Trade Finance products.
It is meritorious if youhave worked with or in China
University degree in Business Administration, Finance or Engineering or equivalent

The Director of Technical Accounting will have the opportunity to drive innovation to meet the ever-evolving demands of our growing, dynamic, international business. You will join a global team operating in Sweden, USA and China, and you will play a key role in shaping the future of finance for our organization by collaborating closely with both internal and external stakeholders to identify and capitalize on new opportunities. You will play an important role in leading a small team focused on financial reporting, technical accounting and analysis review. This role will sit among our global group accounting team reporting into our Global Head of Financial Reporting & Control.
Note this position is based in our global HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden and will require relocation.
What you'll do
Lead the preparation of the consolidated financial statements, including footnotes and underlying support workbooks
Lead the quarterly and year-end close process, ensuring timeliness and compliance with IFRS
Manage staff through evaluation and documentation of accounting and financial reporting considerations across various accounting topics under IFRS
Monitor new accounting pronouncements and research technical accounting issues to assist with determining the impact on the business, financial statements, and disclosures
Establish working relationships with various members of other departments, including sales, legal, tax, treasury, human resources, and group accounting
Collaborate with key teams across the business, including legal, treasury, R&D, internal control, business development, and FP&A as part of the operational and technical implementation of new transactions or agreements
Liaise with external and internal auditors as needed to ensure smooth audit processes and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls
Participate in special projects and/or other ad-hoc assignments


Who you are
8+ years of experience in a similar role leading technical accounting teams
Big four accounting experience highly desirable
Strong understanding of IFRS and SEC reporting requirements and regulations in a publicly listed company environment
Proven technical abilities in key accounting concepts such as revenue recognition, intangible assets, R&D, consolidation, debt, equity, and stock-based compensation
Broad knowledge and experience of Group Accounting and Financial Control processes and systems in an international context with IFRS and SOX experience
Natural leader with the ability to collaborate and foster the growth of a team
Hands on experience leading staff through the documentation of complex accounting positions in comprehensive memorandums by reference to the relevant regulations and guidance
Demonstrated experience managing staff under compressed timelines to meet financial reporting deadlines that are common amongst publicly listed U.S. companies

This team is responsible for the financial accounting and reporting forthelargest Swedish entity in the Polestar Group. In this role you will cooperate with colleagues in other business units worldwide to secure accurate and timely closings and reporting. What you'll do
Oversee and take responsibility for preparation and coordination of monthly financial closings in SAP and reporting in the AARO consolidation system, including related SOX controls
Review and analyze monthly financial reporting
Proactively monitor liquidity levels
Input into the preparation of the Polestar Group Annual Report and Quarterly Reports filed with SEC in the US
Lead the preparation of the statutory accounts/annual report, including coordination with external auditors
Input into covenant compliance monitoring processes, working closely with Treasury and Financial Services colleagues
Extensive contact with subsidiaries and shared service centers
Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team and support their professional development
Lead the implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness

Who you are

The responsibilities
To comply and improve how we work at Polestar, you will lead, drive, and improve ISO and Audit performance as part of our Quality team. In this role, you will be the process owner of the QMS/EMS with an overall responsibility over the management system, internal & external audits as well as renewal of audits and training/communication related to the system. You will be managing a core team and ensure that the IT solutions meet expectations and provide system administration and technical support. - Promote the management systems as an integrated part of the daily business.

- Ensure system consistency and coordinate process owner’s tasks.

What you'll do
As Head of Operational Controlling, you will lead a team of controllers that represent finance in several key areas for securing Polestar success in automotive. The team represent finance in Cycle plan and product portfolio, Vehicle Programs, R&D, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Quality and Logistics. It spans from leading the finance activities for future products profitability and correlated investments to steer and perform on our daily running cost for operation. Key objective is to be the finance voice and secure quality assured financial inputs and insights used in the daily steering of the company as well in the strategic discussions for our future products. The role will be directly reporting to CFO and other primary interfaces will be the Chief Operating Officer and the Heads for functions previously mentioned.
Examples of tasks are:
Constantly challenge the business with finance reports and insights

Secure that the controlling team can deliver timely and accurate financial information and insights to enable operational business decisions.
Provide and present the financials in several different foras
