IT End User Support Specialist –Europe
We have an opportunity for an IT End User Support Specialist (ITEUSS) to join The Company's DAS group to provide real-time IT operational support to end users, programs, and projects.
Based in Gothenburg, Sweden, the role will be responsible for performing a multidisciplinary range of technical systems and application activities. The ITEUSS will install, configure, and maintain multiplatform systems, hardware, software, and components. The specialist will also be responsible for delivering IT services, supporting end users, and contributing to IT projects within the assigned region or, as needed, occasionally in other regions. One of the key elements of the job will be the ability to optimize and automate tasks for IT technicians.


Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will perform the following duties:
? Deploy and administer IT systems in the assigned region, including end-user desktops/laptops, computing servers, network equipment, voice and video hardware, and mobile devices.
? Analyze computing requirements and system needs.
? Support multidisciplinary systems and application activities.
? Install, configure, and maintain systems, hardware, software, and components.
? Ensure systems conform to architectural objectives and are production-ready and supportable.
? Perform incident management and resolve hardware, software, and configuration problems with systems, escalating to the appropriate group when needed.
? Execute asset change tasks and reflect such changes in appropriate databases.
? Provide IT consultation to end users.
? Distribute new user IT starter packages and provide initial user IT orientation.
? Ensure security and policy compliance while performing technical tasks.
? Participate in regional and cross-regional technical meetings.
? Contribute updates to technical documentation, procedures, and process definitions.
? Perform emergency or periodically planned information systems administration tasks, maintenance/upgrades, and configuration changes.
? Conduct systems performance analysis and provide feedback to functional leads and colleagues in the Continual Service Improvement function.
? Contribute to international IT projects as needed and as coordinated by the assigned project manager.
? Work closely with other professionals in Jeppesen Fore Flight IT, seeking and receiving functional guidance as needed for the aforementioned responsibilities to meet business requirements.


The IT End User Support Specialist (ITEUSS) reports to the DAS IT End-User Support Manager and receives functional guidance from Technical Leads. The ITEUSS frequently interacts with end users, IT Business Partners, IT Project Managers, and external service providers. Occasional business travel may be required, driven by business needs. Special project assignments, backfill requirements, or rotations may necessitate short-term assignments to other sites and regions. Significant flexibility is expected to perform off-hours activities, both on-site and remotely.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
? At least 5 years of total IT experience with hands-on experience in enterprise IT infrastructure support and service delivery, both onsite and remotely.
? Previous experience working in a global IT team is highly desirable.
? A computing background and at least one or more professional technical certifications are highly desired (ITIL, Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco).
? Extensive IT technical support skills with superior knowledge of operating systems, software, and hardware.
? Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including server and network administration.
? Customer-focused with strong customer service skills and the ability to apply sensitivity and discretion when required.
? Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting commitments; maintains a positive attitude even in stressful situations.
? Knowledge and ability to use PowerShell, Bash, and other scripting languages is a plus.
? Knowledge of ServiceNow and/or the ability to create/modify process flows is a plus.

This role encompasses management of a team which works with advanced IT troubleshooting for products in Crew and Network Operations management portfolio. The team also has strong knowledge of operations in aviation industry. Service Managers and systems experts are 2 major roles in this teams' scope of work. This management role will be pivotal in overseeing initially the planning products with eventual scope extension to Day of Operations products for our customers and is based in our EMEA office. The line and operations management may include overseeing resource sand customers in other regions too, likely in APAC region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in FlightOps products and demonstrate a proactive, customer-focused approach in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Line and Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the EMEA team of Service Managers and systems experts, ensuring high levels of performance and customer satisfaction. Service managers and System Experts work with advanced IT troubleshooting for products included in Crew and Network Operations management portfolio. The responsibility may extend to other regions such as APAC.
Oversee the planning products for EMEA customers, ensuring timely and effective delivery of services. This scope may extend to include the Day of Operations products.
Collaborate with local and global management teams to align strategies and share best practices.
Act as a key point of contact for escalations, participating in the 24x7 management support roster to address escalations in critical issues as they arise.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to identify and implement process enhancements.
Maintain a proactive mindset, anticipating customer needs and addressing challenges with a "can do" mentality.
Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge, particularly in FlightOps products.
Monitor and report on team performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.



Basic Qualifications:
Extensive experience working in IT within a global context
Excellent leadership and team management skills could be achieved by roles such as line manager, product owner, scrum master and similar.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Ability to thrive in a challenging and changing environment, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
Bachelor's degree in IT/ Aviation/ Business Administration, or a related field; Advanced degree preferred.



Preferred Qualifications (Experience/Education/Skills):
8 or more years of experience in IT or/and aviation
Strong knowledge of FlightOps products and their application in a customer service context.
Experience in operations management, preferably within the IT and/or aviation industry.
Line management
Track record of building high-performing teams
Advanced degree/Masters program



This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite (3 days a week). This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.
