YOU WILL
In this role, you'll play a key role in GAC's support and management of IT infrastructure across multiple sites in Europe. Some of the sites are offices, and some of the sites are critical warehouse sites where uptime and reliability are key. Your mission: to guarantee that all users on numerous European sites experience a consistently productive and harmonious IT working environment with a minimum of interruptions. You'll be at the forefront of implementing new systems and updates while overseeing the site's employees' IT support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installations, all while also serving as a 2nd-line support expert. We're currently in an exciting phase of robust development, with a strong emphasis on digitalization, and the strategic development of our future-ready IT infrastructure. Our environment is purely Windows centric, and you will work in a technical environment existing of tools such as the Microsoft 365 Suite, Azure AD, MS Intune, and Power BI. Our end goal is to ensure that our end-users are not just satisfied but delighted with a seamless IT experience.
Your responsibilities include:
Develop and execute IT plans aligned with regional and group goals.
Oversee IT infrastructure, ensuring security and reliability.
Swiftly troubleshoot and manage IT systems and hardware.
Implement robust security measures and compliance.
Ensure local networks and servers are updated and running.
Traveling to the 15 sites that are under your supervision.
You will be a part of an international IT Infrastructure team comprising 15 members spread across the globe. Additionally, you'll have the support of a 24/7 helpdesk consisting of an additional 15 professionals that will support you. Your responsibilities will encompass offices and warehouses in Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Denmark, totaling 150 end users distributed across these locations.
YOU ARE
For this role we are looking for a hands-on doer, that thrive with solving both large issues and smaller tasks related to the local IT environment on the sites. To thrive in this role, you should be a strong problem solver who is driven and service-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and understand the needs of the business. You are very self-motivated, responsible, and adept at taking initiative and striving for continuous improvement. Given that you will be the sole resource for the regions mentioned above, proactive actions will be crucial. This includes tasks such as planning for server downtime, plan for larger updates or the procurement of new hardware.
Since we operate globally, it is advantageous for you to have previously worked in international companies and successfully navigated different cultures. To succeed in the role, you need to have a solid understanding of the field and a strong passion for problem-solving in a Windows centric environment. You should also have good knowledge about networks and network security, and it would be preferred if you have some knowledge of how to work according to ITIL. We also expect you to be able to communicate very well in English, and we also want to inform you that some work during weekends can occur. We estimate that you will have at least 45 travel days per year, and your home base will be our office at Lindholmen in Gothenburg.
