Developer within Interior Trim & Systems
93630 Compartment Trim and Overhead system is a group within the Art Interior Trim and System and the solution Vehicle Tophat. Currently our ART are approximately 120 engineers that develop interior components within trunk and tailgate, floor, roof, pillars, absorbents, accessories, police cars and light armored cars, interior lights and sensing systems including SW. 
We are now looking for a developer/design engineer for the Compartment trim team.
The team Compartment trim have a product responsibility for all hard trim pillars and sill mouldings in the compartment area of the cars. As Developer/Design engineer you will be working in all phases, from concept development through industrialization phase of the project up until production start and finally running changes. You will design our components and systems to reach the technical objectives and secure the deliveries within the given time. The work will be carried out together with a team consisting of other design engineers, test engineers and CAE engineers.

You will be a part of a self-organized development team that today consists of 7 developers with a “cradle to grave” responsibility and where collaboration is key. The role requires close contact with all developers within the team, other areas within R&D, design, procurement and our suppliers. The development team are designing all parts within their responsibility area in a “build-to-print” set-up where most of the engineering work is done in-house. We want to be very flexible and business oriented. We try to be curious, open minded and perform benchmark both of our OEM competitors as well the customer out in the market.

In this role you will be given the possibility to improve and deepen your technical knowledge of the system area and the chance to build new network within our company. 
Vehicle Tophat and ART Interior Trim & System is a highly focused area both from design and customer point of view, which makes it an interesting and dynamic ART to be a part of. 

What´s in it for you 
You will probably learn and discover new organizations and interesting people in Volvo Cars. As The role requires close contact with other areas within R&D but also contact with our suppliers, you will in this role be given the possibility to improve and deepen your technical knowledge of the system area and the chance to build new network within our company. You will be working within one of the two agile teams and collaborate with the Product Owner, Scrum Master and Team Manager.

You and your skills 
We believe that you have a Degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent experience with several years in R&D. You have a genuine interest in products, innovations, design and customer needs. 

We are now looking for a design engineer with knowledge within plastic design and where good experience in CATIA V5 is mandatory.
We are looking for a creative, curious and people-oriented person that can be flexible with different products and tasks. You are a self-starter and highly motivated to take up new challenging tasks.

This role requires you to have great communication skill and fluency in English. You need to have the capacity to drive several issues simultaneously and work in a structured way. You are together with your team accountable for all your deliveries, and you need to be result oriented and flexible with the focus to get the job done.  
All individuals in an Agile team plays a very important role and therefore we put personal behaviors and characteristics very high in priority.  
To test, evaluate and have a good product knowledge you need to have driver license B. 
Of course, you also need to have knowledge of Agile and SAFe way of working at Volvo.  
Meritorious experience 
•  Experience from working in an agile self-organized development team 
•  Knowledge of the Agile SAFe framework 
•  Experience from earlier design engineering roles, preferable within plastic design 
•  Knowledge about Volvo cars way of working and the systems that is used for product development

Responsibilities and tasks

Create and develop complete design proposals according to design brief and project constraints in assigned programs.

Produce creative detailed design solutions fulfilling complex technical criteria.

Prepare presentation material for reviews.

Participate in design reviews.

Attend to project and engineering meetings.

Under creative lead work with and guide computer modeling team.

Possible creative lead responsibilities if you have the needed experience and the ambitions.



Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Industrial or Transportation Design from a Design University.

Experience in automobile exterior- and/or interior design (OEM preferred).

Experience in executing pre-production or advanced concept.

English, spoken and written.

Very strong sketch ability.

What you’ll do 

Within Manufacturing Engineering, we are now looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who will lead the cross technical product and manufacturing work. You will represent Manufacturing during the preparation and implementation phase within Propulsion Components, with global strategic responsibility. You will collaborate and communicate with other stakeholders globally to align, learn and improve production solutions. It is also within your role to ensure product and process feedback to Research and Development (R&D) in order to fulfil the manufacturing attributes: quality, assembly time, cost efficiency, environment, change over and flexibility.

As Manufacturing Engineer, you are product and process responsible from manufacturing point of view and take full responsibility and ownership within the area. You develop and verify lean, robust and ergonomic product and process solutions.

What you’ll bring 

This position for you with previous experience from production processes and product development, preferably from automotive. We are looking for a committed, positive and proactive Engineer who is enthusiastic about cars. You are target-oriented person with an open-minded attitude. Thanks to your advanced communication skills you have the ability to create good and trustful relationships. You have a holistic perspective and a good understanding of what compromises to make.

What You’ll Do 
As a Lead Designer Engineer within our team, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless integration of ACDC & DCDC Converters into our vehicle systems.  

Main responsibilities
* Secure ingoing requirements to establish Design Prerequisites, Technical Regulations, and Compliance Agreements with suppliers, fostering a clear understanding of project objectives and expectations. 
* Take the lead in managing Tier1 suppliers, overseeing technical design reviews and facilitating joint reviews to ensure alignment with project timelines, technological requirements, and budgetary constraints. 
* Take ownership of the project time plan to secure correct product maturity for each milestone. Regularly report out status and progress to the project. 
* Drive verification activities to validate design integrity and compliance, meticulously following up on results to maintain project momentum and quality standards. 
* Spearhead Change Management and Cost Engineering efforts, continuously evaluating opportunities for improvement while managing budgetary considerations. 
* Conduct comprehensive benchmarking exercises to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, leveraging insights to inform design decisions and drive innovation. 
* Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team and across Propulsion & Energy departments, recognizing the importance of cross-functional cooperation in realizing optimal solutions for future implementation.

What you’ll do

You will be part of the management team of Inbound Logistics Operations and Optimization EMEA, for which the purpose is to ensure the transportation network is implemented and running in an effective way. The transports are optimized both in terms of CO2 and cost and we strive for an efficient execution plan to deliver production material on time to our production sites within Europe.
The purpose of the role is to ensure focus on cost control and other KPIs that drives value to the organization. The person in this role will manage projects and drive continues improvements which requires interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
We are working in a fast-paced environment and you will take lead in developing and improving new processes as well as maintaining our current ones. Data collection and analysis is key to be able to work proactive.
You will take actions driving performance forward and work close with other functions within VCC. To succeed in your role you will be offered a broad view of our overall business which will be needed for you to be part of creating the change.

The main tasks of the role Senior Specialist – Cost Control and Data Analytics:
* Ensure cost performance within the logistics function is correctly and continuously tracked. Responsible to report out cost development to Local and Global Operations and Directors.
* Own the development and communication of the Inbound logistics financial plan and forecast, cost reporting, operational analysis and executive reviews for Inbound logistics EMEA.
* Interpret and evaluate monthly analyses of business trends, including budget variance of financial results and Key Performance Indicators to identify areas of risk and opportunities and provide recommendations.
* Identifies opportunities to continually improve planning and execution processes to ensure timely and accurate budget and forecast analysis for management team.
* Report findings from performance tracking including root causes and corrective actions.
* Monitor cost claims and drive actions where needed together with Operations, Plant and Procurement.
* Drive refund process to maximize cost recovery.
* Participate and/or lead improvements projects and work for common global processes.

What you’ll do 

As an Equipment Engineer and a team member, your task will be to develop robust and efficient manufacturing processes for Propulsion Components with a focus on the equipment used. In this role you will be responsible for developing and implementing vision systems used for detection and measurement, building our high-voltage batteries, e-machines and inverters. You are working together with the team to develop the product and process, and with equipment suppliers to make sure the implementation of the equipment is quality assuring both the product and the process. 

You will be part of a team setting the scene for our future products and processes. The team follows the projects through product and process development, cooperation with R&D, and close collaboration with different equipment suppliers. You are responsible for specifying the requirements of the equipment to meet our Process development KPIs.This means that you will take part in cost estimations, development of process concepts, supplier relations, continuous alignment with customers, etc. You will work with the development of a vision system, measurement system, positioning, etc. You dig in where it is needed and are flexible towards late changes and unforeseen situations, using your innovation and determination to succeed.

What you’ll bring 

This position is for you with previous experience in manufacturing engineering working on equipment projects (project lead/installation/commissioning). You also have experience with the sourcing process (internal & external relations in sourcing). We see that you are detail-oriented, have a focus on quality and a good communicator. We believe you have high aspirations, self-motivation and you are curious to learn new technologies. You are a cooperative person and have great collaboration and communication skills.

The Volvo Cars Internal Audit department is an independent function within Volvo Car Group reporting to the Audit Committee. The responsibility is to provide objective assurance and insight to the management and the Board of Directors to improve operations and assist in achieving objectives by bringing a systematic approach to evaluate and improve the business processes, risk management, and governance.

The assignment involves identifying risks linked to the strategies and objectives and carry out an independent assessment of how the Group manages the risks. What you’ll do
In this role you will dive deep into risk assessment, pinpointing potential roadblocks to Volvo Cars’ corporate objectives and strategies. You will also be participating in drafting the annual Audit Plan for the Board of Directors to approve. You will also be planning and completing audits according to the Audit Plan in areas covering Strategic topics, Sustainability, Ethics and Compliance, Internal Control – operations and finance. Furthermore, you will have regular interaction with stakeholders/managers within the organization to keep them updated on audit status and listen to their concerns as well as have high impact reporting of the audits – both verbally and in writing. You will support the organization in the corrective actions process as well as follow up that the organization has implemented procedures and controls to ensure that risks have been effectively managed.  

What you’ll bring
You have a university degree in Business Administration or equivalent and Audit experience of either International Standards on Auditing (external auditors) or International Professional Practices Framework (internal auditors). 
You have an expert level accounting experience as well as data analysis experience and you are fluent in English, with proficiency in both written and verbal communication. 
On a personal level you possess a sharp business acumen and thrive on challenges. You demonstrate curiosity, are performance driven and enjoy the challenge of unfamiliar tasks. As a person you have a holistic view, professional judgement, and strong skills in collecting and analyzing complex information and drawing logical conclusions. You also have high integrity and the ability to focus and prioritize based on relevance/risk. Always make the connections to objectives and strategies. 
Furthermore, you are also a good communicator, both verbally and in writing, including active listening skills and understanding the management perspective. 
This position is based at Volvo Cars’ international HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden and you will report to the Chief Audit Executive.
