Role Overview

We are seeking an Auto-Flight (AFCS) Systems Engineer to help us design, develop and certify the integrated avionics systems. You will work closely with system engineers in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Develop the AFCS system requirements
- Support AFCS integration with FCS, Safety, certification
- Develop test plan, test procedures, follow up snags and problem reports
- Interface with suppliers
- Develop the AFCS team

Qualifications & Experience:

- BS or MS in engineering (Electrical/Electronics)
- Minimum 5 years experience with automatic flight control systems including flight director, autopilot, yaw damper and autothrottle (ATA 22)
- Experience with system requirements management and V&V process
- Experience with rig tests execution and flight test data analysis
- Experience with preparation of documents including system description, test plans/procedures and test results
- Experience with aircraft system certification (EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25)
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English
- Eagerness to work with others
- Passion for aircrafts and Heart’s mission

The ideal candidate would have :

- Working knowledge of systems engineering principles for safety critical systems (SAE ARP 4754/4761)
- Compliance Verification Expert (CVE) / DER / DAD experience
- Experience as Flight Control System integrator
- Model based design (MBD) / Simulation experience

Your mission

The Propulsion System Design and Integration Engineer will help in the design and integration of our hybrid propulsion system. This will be a broad role covering design, development, integration, and testing.

The Propulsion System Integration Engineer is responsible for the system level performance of the propulsion system, and its interface and interaction with the airframe and other aircraft systems. To accomplish this role, you will work closely with the structures, system installation, electrical systems, energy storage and avionics systems teams.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- The mechanical design for propulsion system integration including air ducts, seals, engine attachments, fluid systems routing, mountings, equipment installation, among others.
- Adhere to the systems development programs through the entire design, development, and certification lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with the recommended practices and standards such as DO-160G, ARP4754 and ARP4761, between others.
- Coordinate activities with subcontractors.
- Responsible for supplier management from the technical point of view.

You will report to the Head of Propulsion Systems and your place of work will be at our main office located in Gothenburg, Sweden.

- Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical systems design and installation.
- Proficient in 3D modeling with CAD software such as Catia v5 or NX with deep understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T).
- Proficiency within rotating machinery design and understanding of gears, bearings and gearbox lubrication (tribology).
- Experience with gearbox clutches or propeller gearboxes
- Experience with aircraft propulsion system certification (EASA/FAA Part 25, CS-E, Part 33 and E-19).
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English

Education

- Graduate degree in aerospace, aeronautical, mechanical, automotive or equivalent.

We are now looking for a Safety Manager System (SMS) Manager to join our Quality Assurance team in Gothenburg. Do you have experience from Safety and want to contribute to a more sustainable future?

Your mission

The SMS manager is part of Quality Assurance department and is reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance. You will be having the broad responsibility for the development, operation, and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System (SMS) deployed at Heart Aerospace. You will be a focal point for safety management issues within the Organization and interacts directly with nominated safety representatives.
As key responsibilities, you must develop and implement an SMS in compliance with EASA Part 21 at the Company level. The scope of activity covers the EASA Part 21 Subpart J DOA and Subpart G POA activities.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Creating and maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of the SMS, including manuals, procedures, and reports.
- Managing the appropriate dissemination of documentation to relevant stakeholders.
- Communicating across the Organization, cultivating and maintaining a proactive and positive safety culture in conjunction with a community of nominated safety representatives.
- Ensuring by training and continuous feedback that everyone understands safety
policy, processes and procedures.
- Supporting operational departments and managers on the use of safety management processes (e.g assisting operational personnel in conducting risk assessments according to a common risk assessment methodology and assigning effective, operationally relevant controls).
- Ensuring that proper safety training is provided so that risk assessment processes are ingrained within the Organization and that safety discussions are facilitated throughout the Organization.
- Fostering a positive safety culture including safety promotion and open reporting culture and ensuring that punitive actions are not taken against individuals making voluntary or mandatory safety reports.
- Defining, implementing and monitoring how the “just” culture policy is applied and reporting to the Accountable Executive when issues are identified.
- Encouraging operational departments and/or individuals to take ownership of safety issues and risks.
- Ensuring consistency and coherence of safety management processes across the organization.
- Ensuring that corrective and preventive actions are managed and implemented by the relevant departments; are performing as intended; and are reported to the safety committee.

You will report to the Head of Quality Assurance and the team consists of 4 people. Your place of work will be at our main office located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Education/Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in aviation, safety management, or a related field.
- Certification of training in aviation safety management required.
- In-depth knowledge of EASA Part 21 regulations.
- Previous experience (minimum 2 years) in aviation safety management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and lead safety initiatives with all departments using cross functional management involving safety officers.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and results oriented.

Your mission

As Section Lead for our Human Factors, you will help us design and develop the our aircraft and its installed systems. As an electric aircraft, there may be new and novel crew interfaces and man-machine interaction compared to traditional aircraft, which in some cases may require an innovative approach to the design and certification

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Manage the technical activities of the team consisting of ergonomists, Human Factors engineers and pilots.
- Guide and organize the team activities and develop the design development plan for the Human Factors team.
- Organize the schedule of the activities and coordinate with other teams.
- Synchronize with the certification office and coordinate certification and testing activities during the development.

You will report to the Head of Avionics and Electrical Systems. Your place of work will be at our main office located in Gothenburg, Sweden.

- Minimum 10 years experience within an aerospace OEM company environment, including the conceptual and preliminary design phase.
- Experience with civil aircraft development programs through the entire design, development & certification lifecycle (EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25).
- Direct experience with Aircraft Human Factors engineering & ergonomic design requirements engineering, within an approved design organization.
- Detailed knowledge of crew ergonomic & safety design standards for the required range of anthropometric models, including HIC, view, ingress, egress, and crew reach.
- Knowledge of systems & safety engineering principles for safety critical systems (SAE ARP 4754/4761).

Your mission

This role will have a broad responsibility, encompassing all Material and Process areas and projects will often require more generalized skills. We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic and capable engineer who enjoys diversity in their work scope.

The position offers a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities including material and process specification authoring and revision, production support, close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders defining material/process requirements and efficiently implement solutions. You will support material and process selection, testing and qualification efforts. You will have responsibility for oversight and maintenance of the Materials, Processes and Standard Hardware Catalogue.

You will also take part in establishing our ways of working, covering writing, reviewing and implementing company/group level policies, procedures, guidelines and templates.

Additional responsibilities include:

- Development and revision of engineering processes, methods, tools and technical requirements
- Apply knowledge of material design, analysis, and tests to develop, characterize, and qualify proprietary materials, including coupon-level qualification projects
- Lead the evaluation and qualification of materials, suppliers, equipment, technology and processes, ensuring readiness, conformance and producibility requirements are met
- Support non-conformance dispositions and repair methods, fleet impact assessments, notice of escapes
- Lead and participate in root-cause and corrective action activities to ensure manufactured parts and processes meet engineering and regulatory requirements
- Lead continuous improvement efforts with design, fabrication and testing of new concepts and technologies
- Lead Research & Development projects to develop new and innovative materials and processes that improve production quality, safety, cost and rate

You will report to the Head of Structures and Interiors. Your place of work will be at our main office located in Gothenburg, Sweden.

- Minimum 8 years’ experience with aerospace materials and process development and oversight
- Experience with various materials and processing methodologies. As example: metals (i.e. heat treatments, machining, forming, welding), polymers and composites (i.e. lay-up, autoclave curing, repair), sealants and finish processing (i.e. painting, surface preparation, plating, fay surface sealing), ceramics (i.e. high temperature processing, machining), elastomers (rubber, composite, seals) and electronic materials (i.e. printed circuit board cleaning, soldering)
- Experience developing test plans, specifications and qualifications of materials and processes
- Experience with coupon-level mechanical properties (static and fatigue) testing
- Experience with the evaluation and qualification of materials, suppliers, equipment, technology and processes
- Knowledge of industry practices and standards including ASTM, SAE, MIL, etc.
- Strong background in materials and process configuration management and proven experience with establishing and maintaining Material and Process libraries and standard part catalogues
- Comfort working in an environment of change and in support of multiple programs, internal and external customers, technical challenges and deadlines
- Proven ability to prioritize and handle small and large projects with a diversity of customers is preferred
- Knowledge and/or experience with various aerospace standards. As example: fasteners (rivets, bolts, etc), composite and metallic drilling & fastening processes (hand, robot and large assembly rigs), lubricants, coolants, etc. is preferred
- Experience with aircraft development programs through the entire design, development & certification lifecycle (EASA/FAA Part 25) is preferred

Your mission

As a member of the Tools and Methods team you will be part of the development and evolvement of Heart Aerospace development process and the supporting tool ecosystem. You shall work closely with the Flight Sciences Department to contribute with the development of methods and tools to perform multi-physics numerical simulations.

It is part of your responsibility to elaborate the strategy and the implementation plan to raise the company readiness level to perform massive number of computations with the required computational cost and quality.

You will be responsible for the evaluation and implementation of different strategies regarding software, hardware and cloud High Performance Computing (HPC). It is also part of your responsibility to support the development of engineering analysis and optimization environments, and work on their respective evolution.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Support the Flight Sciences Department to develop lower, medium, and higher fidelity numerical analysis and optimization environments.
- Evaluate the pros/cons in adopting different software, with different fidelity levels, on the analysis/optimization environments.
- Develop scripts to couple different multi-physics analysis into optimization environments.
- Support Linux Operating System.
- Support High Performance Computing (HPC).

The Propulsion System Design and Integration Engineer will help in the design and integration of our hybrid propulsion system. This will be a broad role covering design, development, integration, and testing.

The Propulsion System Integration Engineer is responsible for the system level performance of the propulsion system, and its interface and interaction with the airframe and other aircraft systems. To accomplish this role, you will work closely with the structures, system installation, electrical systems, energy storage and avionics systems teams.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- The mechanical design for propulsion system integration including air ducts, seals, engine attachments, fluid systems routing, mountings, equipment installation, among others.
- Adhere to the systems development programs through the entire design, development, and certification lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with the recommended practices and standards such as DO-160G, ARP4754 and ARP4761, between others.
- Coordinate activities with subcontractors.
- Responsible for supplier management from the technical point of view.

You will report to the Head of Propulsion Systems and your place of work will be at our main office located in Gothenburg, Sweden.

- Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical systems design and installation.
- Proficient in 3D modeling with CAD software such as Catia v5 or NX with deep understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T).
- Proficiency within rotating machinery design and understanding of gears, bearings and gearbox lubrication (tribology).
- Experience with gearbox clutches or propeller gearboxes
- Experience with aircraft propulsion system certification (EASA/FAA Part 25, CS-E, Part 33 and E-19).
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English
- Eagerness to work with others
- Passion for aircraft and electrification of the aviation industry

Education

- Graduate degree in aerospace, aeronautical, mechanical, automotive or equivalent.

- Detailed knowledge about conducted emissions from power converters
- Detailed knowledge of equipment EMC integration in platforms, installation rules and test methods

Your mission

The SMS manager is part of Quality Assurance department and is reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance. You will be having the broad responsibility for the development, operation, and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System (SMS) deployed at Heart Aerospace. You will be a focal point for safety management issues within the Organization and interacts directly with nominated safety representatives.
As key responsibilities, you must develop and implement an SMS in compliance with EASA Part 21 at the Company level. The scope of activity covers the EASA Part 21 Subpart J DOA and Subpart G POA activities.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Creating and maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of the SMS, including manuals, procedures, and reports.
- Managing the appropriate dissemination of documentation to relevant stakeholders.
- Communicating across the Organization, cultivating and maintaining a proactive and positive safety culture in conjunction with a community of nominated safety representatives.
- Ensuring by training and continuous feedback that everyone understands safety
policy, processes and procedures.
- Supporting operational departments and managers on the use of safety management processes (e.g assisting operational personnel in conducting risk assessments according to a common risk assessment methodology and assigning effective, operationally relevant controls).
- Ensuring that proper safety training is provided so that risk assessment processes are ingrained within the Organization and that safety discussions are facilitated throughout the Organization.
- Fostering a positive safety culture including safety promotion and open reporting culture and ensuring that punitive actions are not taken against individuals making voluntary or mandatory safety reports.
- Defining, implementing and monitoring how the “just” culture policy is applied and reporting to the Accountable Executive when issues are identified.
- Encouraging operational departments and/or individuals to take ownership of safety issues and risks.
- Ensuring consistency and coherence of safety management processes across the organization.
- Ensuring that corrective and preventive actions are managed and implemented by the relevant departments; are performing as intended; and are reported to the safety committee.

You will report to the Head of Quality Assurance and the team consists of 4 people. Your place of work will be at our main office located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Education/Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in aviation, safety management, or a related field.
- Certification of training in aviation safety management required.
- In-depth knowledge of EASA Part 21 regulations.
- Previous experience (minimum 2 years) in aviation safety management.

- Ability to work as part of a team and lead safety initiatives with all departments using cross functional management involving safety officers.
