What´s in it for you
In this role, you will lead and support cross-functional business projects for incoming components in our Electronic Control Units. You will be responsible for the relationship with some of our important Semiconductor suppliers and creating a new way of working with them including partnership, new collaboration models, and direct negotiation. This includes preparation, implementation, analysis, negotiation, supplier selection, and contract management.
You will support, develop and implement supplier strategies, and create and maintain commercial relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
You enjoy working proactively with key stakeholders to understand your components, their market, delivery base, and potential innovation, to find ways to increase the value of Volvo Cars, including cost, quality, and sustainability.
The role performs market analysis, prioritization, and identification of optimal negotiation tactics as well as handling business in current production.
As a persona, you need to dare to question the status quo or specific paths with stakeholders, suppliers, and people; and work proactively to build a better understanding and work for common solutions.

To succeed in this role, you have a Business or Technical University degree in Electronics (or equivalent).
You have experience in Commercial and/or Engineering work (+8 years), within electronics including commercial negotiations and legal knowledge.
You also have a strong business acumen combined with high integrity and can prioritize your own work and always deliver on time.
Semiconductors is a global commodity, so excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English are a requirement and additional languages like Mandarin, and Swedish is advantageous.
Supplier relationships are important, where your excellent communication skills, are a wanted ability.
On a personal level - Competence and experience are important, but personality and passion are key
