As a Data Architect, your focus will be on Data Strategy and Governance. You will play an important role in this journey and have a great influence in building this success as we are in the early stages. We embrace openness, transparency, and continuous development while having fun at work.
Some of your key responsibilities:
- Work closely with other cross-enterprises functions, ensuring alignment with Data Analytics vision and strategy.
- Provide qualified and proactive decision support and execution of Data Strategy and its related work.
- Support in capabilities defining, in line with business needs.
- Evangelize the data culture establishment.
- Collaborate with Stena Line business functions, products owner & engineering teams, ensuring that related Data Analytics initiatives are aligned with our vision & strategy.
- Support and take the driver’s seat when required, Data Analytics projects.
- Collaborate with Stena Group IT to ensure planned activities for Data Analytics are according to business needs and in line with the governance. frameworks/principles and policies and ensure the right capabilities are built.
What you will experience
The Data Analytics function is new and growing. You will be a part of a small, central team who supports the execution of Stena Line’s Digital Strategy. We are in the early stages of establishing a Data Culture for Stena Line and looking for you who are passionate about the Data Analytics world and want to be part of creating a data-driven culture!
The Data Analytics function is part of Stena Line Digital Transformation and is a cross-functional unit. You will report to our Head of Data & Analytics Transformation and work closely with our other domain architects and IT.

Who you are
At Stena Line, your personality matters as much as how good you are at what you do. We believe you are experienced in the Data Analytics field and have a great understanding of its technology spectrum. You possess hands-on experience in how to take value and insights from data. You know how to tackle possible pitfalls when dealing with the establishment of a data-driven enterprise. You have a great understanding of Data Governance, and its related subjects are also something you possess.
As you will interact with many stakeholders, excellent communication skills are important. You can discuss in-depth technical matters and able to put them into a business context. We take it for granted that you are fascinated and thrive in the Data Analytics area. You have hands-on experience in most of its technical aspects, from Data warehousing to Advanced Analytics. In your earlier years, you have probably been working as a Solution Architect, hence questions related to Data Architecture are not unfamiliar to you.
You are a self-driven team player who has a passion to challenge the status quo and embrace changes. You are energized by using your Analytics expertise to convey to your stakeholders and know a pragmatic way to persuade them. You know how to connect the overall company’s vision to your stakeholders’ visions and find your way through the unexplored landscape. Not having all the answers given to you is a fine challenge for you.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Gothenburg within our Data Analytics department.
