We are currently looking for a Current Project Lead Software & Electronics. Your broad automotive experience would be invaluable to us both in concept work and when working with current designs for increased customer satisfaction

What you’ll do

The Software & Electronics Project team is a part of Polestar R&D. The team is responsible for managing the Polestar vehicle projects on behalf of electrical as well as proofing out new feature concepts.

Your responsibilities will be:

- Working closely with Project counterparts globally.
- Follow up & communicate program quality status.
- Preparation of reports and feedback to the project management team.
- Responsible for highlighting new system developments required to deliver new product content.
- Support technical discussions with suppliers, internal teams and partner OEM.
- Monitor the integration of existing electrical systems into new vehicle program.
- Single point of contact representing the wider Electrical Systems teams.
- Act as the company ambassador for the electrical system and software.


Who you are

You have a strong will to create the future of electric vehicles. You are enthusiastic, motivated, well-organized and driven. You’re not afraid to try new approaches and out of the box methods. You are eager to find solutions even if the path forward is not straight. You are talented and good with numbers and have no trouble finding facts and figures.

Required Experience:

- At least 5+ years of previous relevant experience in electrical & software development within the Automotive industry.
- Experience of Automotive product development systems (VPDS, FPDS, GPDS, NPDS etc) and release processes within the automotive sector.
- Good understanding of Automotive Electrical system.
- Understanding of Functional Safety and safety analysis techniques (HARA, FMEA, FTA, etc).
- Excellent communication and co-ordination skills.
- Electrical, Electronic Systems, Electro-mechanical, Automotive, or similar engineering degree. Other recognized engineering qualifications combined with relevant experience may be considered.
- Work permit to work in the UK or in the European Union



Desired Experience, but not a must:

- Experience of the full product lifecycle, from concept through to vehicle launch.
- Previous experience with Volvo, Lotus, Geely or CEVT projects.
- Practical experience of vehicle electrical architectures based upon Ethernet, CAN, LIN and Flexray.
- Experience of delivering electrical systems in accordance with EMC requirements.
- Experience of delivering electrical systems in accordance with Security requirements.
- Experience of delivering Infotainment / UX electrical systems.
- Chinese language skills.

This role lets you lead a cross-function / cross-regional team of engineers in our next exciting EV projects. This includes both software and hardware, from concept phase to industrialization.

Your responsibilities will be:

- Project management, engineering, cost and time planning
- Requirement engineering regarding Performance, Driveability, Life Cycle, Efficiency, EMC, Thermal, Mechanical and others
- System design and balancing the different requirements
- Technical sourcing of electric vehicle propulsion design
- Supplier and contractors evaluations.


Essentially, you are keeping an eye on future electric vehicle propulsions will ensure that Polestar is striving for an exceptional customer experience within this area.

Rollen som Finance Digital Leads huvudsakliga uppgift att leda detta arbete ur ett IT-perspektiv. - att IT på bästa sätt stödjer ekonomi i bankens digitaliseringsresa.

What you will do and be part of
At Metry we build products and services that help our customers transform their energy data into an asset. What you´ll do

Our Industrial Programs team is a part of Polestar´s R&D organization. Within industrial programs there are several important functions of which Standard parts is one.
As Standard Parts Engineer you will provide our R&D organization with guidelines, support and technical documentation for standard parts. You are the go-to person within PS for questions and support regarding usage and development of Standard parts. You will contribute with investigations, assignment and process development work within your field of experience.

Your main responsibilities will be:

- Develop, design and release standard parts solutions in corporation with R&D engineering and suppliers
- Collaboration with Volvo Cars standard parts department
- Maintain Polestar classification library of standard parts in Teamcenter
- Responsible that technical documents are available at the right level, right time and with right quality
- Secure that part documentation is correctly stored in Teamcenter
- Collaboration with external suppliers related to standard parts
- Contribute with the departments work within your field of experience.


You will be responsible that available standard parts fulfill the standard parts strategy and are available for purchase. You will lead the development and design of standard parts and actively follow the technical development within the field of standard parts.

As a person you are detail oriented with good communication skills and an analytical mindset. You are structured, have an ability to co-operate and work in cross functional teams, as well as an ability to work independently and capable of identify problem and recommend solutions.

To be successful in this role, we believe you have:

- Bachelor’s degree within mechanical design or equivalent experience
- Experience within Catia V5 on a designer level and with Teamcenter AWS/RC
- Competence in component development and product releases
- Ability to establish competence in relevant tools, methods and processes
- Swedish and English - spoken and written
- Previous experience from the automotive industry
- Knowledge about fasteners, specially screw design and screw joints
- B-driving license is desired but not a requirement
- Ability to travel both nationally and internationally

Rollbeskrivning

Workshop & Facilities är ett team, vilket är en del av Polestar R&D, som bl.a. ansvarar för företagets verkstäder och provbilsflotta. Dina stakeholders består av medarbetare som jobbar med mjukvaruutveckling, systemdesign, hårdvarukonstruktion, provningsingenjörer och testare som utvecklar elmotorer med omriktare, batterier, ladd-system och chassi-system.

Ditt bidrag innebär daglig hantering av Polestars egna provbilar samt konkurrentbilar där huvuduppgifter och ansvar är:

- Administrera, förvalta och samordna provbilar för ett optimalt utnyttjande samt att egen fordonspark är i lagenligt skick och att aktuella fordonsregister hålls uppdaterade
- Medverkan vid framtagning och leverans av grundbilar till nya projekt
- Registrering av provbilar och kontakter mot Transportstyrelsen
- Försäkring av provbilar och kontakter mot försäkringsbolagen
- Avyttring av färdigprovade fordon och kontakter med våra demonteringsbolag
- Anskaffning, förvaltning och avyttring av konkurrentfordon
- Godkänna körtillstånd för användare av provbilar

What you´ll do

Our Propulsion charging team is a part of the Polestar Propulsion Department, is a team with a mission to deliver results which exceed the customers’ expectations. The team consists of software engineers, calibration engineers and system designers. Your responsibilities will be:

- Layout and placement of power-electronics for charger and DCDC components
- Support hardware design team in packaging the PCB into a finalized product, support as well thermal
- Support simulation activities of the schematics and investigate concepts, in Matlab Simscape or LT-PSPICE.

- Previous experience in power electronics design

We are now looking for a new Procurement Business Project Manager, you will secure program timing, lead, coordinate and manage all procurement business requirements and securing processes & documentation. The role will also be responsible for the planning towards each project connected to procurement and all necessary alignment both within Polestar business areas but also towards our digital teams.





This position will give you the opportunity to be in the leading edge of electric vehicles (EV) development and drive sustainability in the supply chain.



Polestar is looking for someone who can help our business transformation on our digital journey, and work with our partners as the company introduces new electric cars and forges its own path as a scale-up company. This role will manage the timing and planning of introducing major digital procurement tools, getting the chance to adopt the latest technology that can help Polestar gain a competitive advantage in the market. At the same time, this person will have to ensure existing projects can move forward uninterrupted.

To be successful in this role you need to have a strong understanding of IDP procurement and the stakeholders we serve, but also how this process and digital interact throughout the PtP process. You will lead meetings reviewing detailed business requirements, planning activities to meet digital project gateways inline with the business needs.

This position is located at our HQ, in Gothenburg.

What you'll do

Main Responsibilities:

- Ensure that new digital tools are implemented meeting procurement business requirements supporting our stakeholders
- Understanding Business Stakeholders requirements from different areas towards procurement and procurements on them.
- Setting up working practices with internal & external depts /partners
- Create plans outlining all activities on a timeline and set a path for implementation
- Prepare materials for reporting to procurement management & project teams
- Maintaining the relationship with partners, Volvo, Geely & digital teams
- Setting up a testing scheme and approval process for moving forward with projects
- Review legal implications between Geely, Volvo and how this impacts PS....
- Setup and produce training plans in-line with digital team.
- Conduct education & training to IDP buyers
- Creating education manuals
- Supporting the system integration of data sharing between systems
- Support the procurement business leader and Process Managers
- Support data analysis to determine capabilities, requirement setting and processes for each function
- Managing &, facilitating process guidelines, instructions and policy documents to our PTP process in Polestar Quality Management System.
- Determine whether Polestar can use current PS processes or adapt to SAP digital processes and align them identifying gaps

- Minimum 5 years of experience from the automotive industry
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a project manager or business analyst
- Experience working with Chinese colleagues is an advantage
- Very strong knowledge of digital project management, processes, IDP business areas & procurement
- Very good knowledge of existing internal (Volvo Cars) system landscape within purchasing preferred.
- Thorough understanding and good knowledge of SAP tools and products eg., Ariba and S4Hana

What you´ll do

Our E-axle Software team is a part of Polestar´s Propulsion department, which is a team with a mission to deliver results which exceed the customers’ expectations. The team consists of E-machine control engineers, software developers, CI/CD & build system experts and calibration engineers. The area of responsibility spans from software design to fine tuning and final optimization before delivery to end customer. Essentially, you will be one of our experts in electric motor control.

Your responsibilities will be:

- Define requirements for motor control software
- Drive design of, and implement motor control functionality, behaviors and algorithms
- Develop and test motor control algorithms in the lab and -in-vehicle
- Define test plans for E-machine and inverter characterization in; - High Voltage E-machine emulator test bed
- E-machine test bed

- Electric machine and drive systems analysis, modeling and control
- Matlab Simulink and C programming
- Knowledge in interface hardware components, such as; - Voltage and current sensors
- Power stages
- Speed sensors.





Desired skills, not a must:

- Experience with PWM schemes such as space vector, discontinuous, and sinusoidal modulation
- System-oriented understanding of vehicle-level torque control and drivetrain efficiency optimization
- Familiarity with sensor-less motor control algorithms
- Programming languages and tools such as: - Git
- Azure DevOps
- C-code debugging tools
- Python.
