In the Hardware & Mechatronics Department within the Unit Connected Experience, we transform ideas into innovations to meet the high standards of connected vehicles – both present and future vehicles. In the ecosystem of the connected experience we provide to our customers we are now looking for a Team Manager for wireless hardware and mechanical integration. Today this group consist of four different teams, Antennas, Wireless HW, Wireless Communication and Mechanical Integration. We develop, integrate and verify hardware for antennas and wireless communication and lead suppliers through development of both hardware and software development. The wireless communication team, together with two technical experts, are working in the forefront towards research and advanced engineering projects to make sure we have the right technology in our cars to provide a seamless connected experience. Today the group covers technology standards for Cellular Communication, V2X, UWB and BLE. We use modern tools and agile methods to continuously create business value. We ensure high quality and adaptability in our development and delivery and of course we have a lot of fun together while doing it.

What you’ll do
You’ll help the engineers on your team by removing obstacles and supporting them to grow. You’ll contribute to agile ways of working, through technical leadership and close collaboration with Product Owners, Scrum Masters and other teams and leaders. You are a person that have adopted a lean agile mind-set, practiced a servant leadership, have good communication skills and a collaborator.
The team’s tasks will span all the way from being part of research projects, concept studies to rolling out large-scale and high-quality products. You will work with teams all across the company, across the globe, across many functions, such as product management and business development, and with external companies as well as academia

You and your skills
We are looking for an experienced hardware/mechatronic engineering manager, who previously built and led engineering teams. You have experience in people management, cross-functional collaboration as well as a strong sense of business. To succeed in this role, it’s a clear advantage having working experience from Telecom, other Wireless industry or the automotive industry. You probably have a degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong people management, collaboration and communication skills are essential when working in a diversed and international setting. It is also important that you are continuously developing your own skills and guide and coach your teams to continuously develop theirs.

What do we offer?
The Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team is a strategic resource within Volvo Car Group focusing on accelerating value creation. In addition to global responsibility to lead mergers and acquisitions, the team leads equity market projects, is responsible for capital structure, rating and equity-based incentive programs. We lead large scale strategic projects with a significant finance component. Our team also support with strategic and operational aspects including carveouts, integrations and restructurings.

As Manager in the team you will contribute in large and complex M&A transactions from initiation to closing and you will lead smaller M&A transactions. Rating related activities as well as the work with Volvo Car Group’s capital structure, will also be a part of this role. You will work with deal structuring, financial modelling, valuation, and lead negotiations. And finally, you will support Head of M&A and ECM, the CFO and the Executive Management Team of Volvo Car Group with various types of analyses and tasks.

Working in the M&A and ECM team is demanding but offers great opportunities for fast development. In this position you will gain exposure to a wide range of financial and strategic matters and for the right candidate this role will provide the basis for further career opportunities. This position reports to Head of Mergers & Acquisitions and Equity Capital Markets.


Who are we looking for?

Strategic and analytical thinker with ability to focus on details and figures, synthesize large amount of information into clear conclusions
You are able to manage ambiguity and quickly spot issues and develop a recommended approach

At ART Seats and Safety, we are responsible for delivering a great customer experience of seat comfort, Scandinavian design, luxury, and safety. We lead the development of integrating complete seat into the vehicle, balanced to project requirements. Our diverse group consists of around twenty+ persons with different competences and backgrounds and who - despite different responsibilities and expertise – work as one agile team.  

What you’ll do 
You will be part of one of our agile teams developing complete seat. Fast changes and proactivity are part of our daily work, and we are working with the flow according to current needs and development of the product. Your role will be a cross-functional task leader within specific complete seat. As a Lead Engineer you will lead the design and development task within a cross-functional team according to time, technology, quality and costs. You will work together with internal teams, outsourced partners and suppliers to fulfil product and project deliverables and meet milestones. 

Do you fit the profile?
You have at least a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering or equivalent qualifications. You are expected to have experience from the automotive industry and product development processes, combined with an excellent ability to see the complexity of the whole process and understand the system requirements. You have documented experience from seat development at OEM or supplier. You have experience of or good understanding of Agile WoW. It would be an advantage to have Team Center and Volvo Product Development Process knowledge and experience. Knowledge of VCC systems is advantage. Fluent English (written & verbal) is mandatory and having a driver’s license (B) would be meritorious.

In our team, you will work in close cooperation with colleagues, internal stakeholders, and external suppliers to secure delivery of our brand-new cars – to the right cost, quality, and service. 
You will report to Team Manager Logistics EMEA – and we look forward to extending the team with yet another skilled and experienced buyer who enjoys working in a dynamic global environment.
Your main responsibility will be to lead sourcing initiatives and manage commercial relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. The right candidate has ideally a background in procurement or related supply chain services and also experience within project management and successfully driving complex sourcing projects.

Your key tasks

-    Lead and support cross-functional sourcing projects within the category including preparation, execution, analysis, negotiation, supplier selection, and contract management
-    You will work towards individual & team targets and perform administrative tasks related to the job. 
-    Develop and implement category and supplier strategies
-    Create and maintain commercial relations with suppliers and stakeholders
-    Work proactively with key business stakeholders to understand your product/service, its market, supply base, and potential innovation to find ways to increase value for Volvo Cars  including cost, quality, and sustainability
-    Perform market analysis, prioritization, and identification of optimal negotiation tactics

Do you fit the profile?

You have a university degree or equivalent experience

Team Manager for HIL rigs & Automated testing at Software Integration & Release, Vehicle Tophat

What we do
Vehicle Tophat is one of six development units within Research & Development at Volvo cars. Vehicle top hat develops interior and exterior solution/systems. The unit is located in Gothenburg and Shanghai. Software Integration & Release is an enabling ART (Agile Release Train) with the purpose to build the SW Continues Integration flow within the Vehicle Tophat unit. We provide skills within SW testing, HIL rigs, SW integration and SW release flow.

We are looking for a team manager to our agile teams building our domain rigs and supporting Vehicle Tophat teams with new test rigs and equipment strategies as well as CI framework. What you will do

You’ll help the engineers in your team by removing obstacles, support the team to solve impediments and escalate when needed. You will help them grow, coach them on a daily basis according to the agile principles and put time and focus on both individual and team development. You as a Team Manager will drive the rig investment process. You will also participate and contribute in the agile ceremonies (such as demos, Increment planning, retrospectives) and support team celebrations for team achievements. Furthermore, you will safeguard long term strategies in close collaboration with the Test Architects and Product Owners.
What you need to bring with you?
