About the role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Leader for our global Product Development department! You will be responsible for new product development projects within our Advanced Flow Solutions team. Your scope will be to lead the technical development, including mechanical, electrical & software engineering, of next-generation flow solutions in close cooperation with the product manager and development team.
Main activities and responsibilities:
Lead Product Development projects, pre-studies, and technology development within the Product Area (Advanced Flow Solutions) in charge of ensuring that the product meets the agreed technical requirements, managing/coordinating the engineering team in the design phase.
Accountable and responsible for the system integration and verification of the overall product within the scope
Support the Product Manager in understanding and breaking down overall business cases for New Product Development projects.
Support project purchasing function in the task of asking for quotations from external suppliers and performing purchases.
Planning, Financial forecasting & follow up.

You will report to our R&D Manager and be based in Gothenburg, Sweden, in the FlexLink HQ.
This is you
Background in product development with broad technical knowledge and intuition. Have made the transition from several years as a development engineer and spent some years in a leading/project management role.
We believe that you are an engineer by heart, with communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. You also have:
Technical education, at least at bachelor's level, with a focus on product development, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or similar
At least 5-7 years of working experience or understanding of industrial automation.
Proven experience in traditional project management methods, and knowledge of agile frameworks is a merit.
Experience in driving projects from the pre-studies phase to manufacturing, assembly, and buildup of stock.
Fluent English and Swedish in speech and writing

- Stötta våra partners i dialoger med underleverantörer och kunder för att säkerställa teknisk kvalité på DMF processen och genomförbarhet

- I nära samarbete med R&D teamet arbeta för att industrialisera de innovationer som skapas inom PulPac

- Löpande kommunicera projekt och dess tekniska framskridande till intressenter

- Sköta teknisk dokumentation och aktivt arbeta med att mäta, dokumentera och förbättra kvalitén på maskinplattformen

Om dig
För att trivas i din roll som Projektingenjör är du en utåtriktad och prestigelös person som värdesätter skapandet av långsiktiga relationer. Då du kommer att arbeta i en aktiv och föränderlig miljö, krävs det att du har ett öga för struktur och att koordinera dina arbetsuppgifter på ett effektivt sätt. Vi ser gärna att du har ett starkt driv för att utvecklas och är inte rädd för att ta på dig ansvar.

För att lyckas i din roll söker vi dig som har en ingenjörsutbildning inom mekanik, mekatronik eller liknande. Du har flera års erfarenhet av tekniskt utvecklingsarbete, förslagsvis som konstruktör eller liknande roll där du varit inblandad i att utveckla och/eller implementera tekniska lösningar. Du behärskar både svenska och engelska flytande i tal och skrift, då rollen innebär kontakt med internationella partners från världen över.

Standard Controls
The department of Standard Controls are one of the technology drivers within FlexLink.
We evaluate new solutions and technologies related to controls before bringing them into R&D-projects or system sales. The group provides expertise in relevant standards, regulations and technologies.
This role is responsible for design, development & maintenance of the electrical part of FlexLink Controls platform – our preferred platform of technology and system architecture for controlling modules and complete lines. It involves developing internal standards, guidelines, tools and complete functions for material flow solutions.
Main tasks
Design of electrical solutions – from conceptual to industrialization
Implementation of solutions in Eplan using best practices
Document, spread and support the solutions and the use of Eplan to controls engineers globally in Flexlink Sales units
Participating in projects and in product changes
Producing basis for / maintaining documentation
Working with compliance and apply technical standards related to electrical safety and machinery directive
Working hands on, with electrical installation and electrical cabinet to our test rigs

Knowledge
Knowledge within industrial automation
Experience in automation architectures involving multiple products and technologies
Solid experience in electrical design and relevant industry standards
Very good knowledge in electrical engineering software (preferably Eplan)

This is you

Fluent English in both writing and speech

What you need to be successful

Experience from algorithm design, software design and architecture based on functional requirements
Ability to implement object-oriented software.

About the role
As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for development of FlexLink’s warehouse automation business that is driven by the shift towards the e-commerce channel. You will work in close collaboration with our sales units across Europe, to ensure the execution of our projects towards our clients working with warehouse automation in different material handling applications.

Our new Business Development Manager will establish market network, generate business together with our sales units and manage some customer projects. Your job is to ensure that FlexLink develops business opportunities in the warehouse automation industry by adapting know-how, sales drive, competence and offer portfolio.


Main activities and responsibilities:
Develop and manage our warehouse automation segment
Ensuring the continuous growth of revenues and profitability of the business
Drive the market development within warehouse automation with a focus on material handling solutions for the e-commerce applications
Develops and manages long term relationships with key accounts
Verify and track the achievement of business goals
Continuously monitoring the evolution and trends
Own and drive the business model, offer portfolio and segment pricing
Understanding the customer's business and priorities as well as influencing customer strategy

What you need to be successful

Required skills:
Substantial experience in automation and material handling within automated warehouses solutions in the e-commerce industry
Experience in distribution and warehouse handling
Previous experience with technical sales
Key customer management
Planning and roadmap development
High knowledge of business model innovation, portfolio management, and customer process know-how
Excellent understanding of value proposition
Technical/Engineering educational background or equivalent experience
Fluent in English, both spoken and written


We also believe that you live around the Gothenburg area or within commuting distance to the office. UK applicants are also considered as you can be based from our office in Milton Keynes.

About the Role
As our new Projects & Engineering Manager you will lead the Project department, including Mechanical, Controls and Robotics, as well as Project Management and Project Administration for the Nordic market. You are an experienced leader and will manage and develop a team of 10. You will plan the project operations and assure high quality of deliveries, ensure compliance with FlexLink and Group standards, as well as plan and control projects across the whole project life cycle to meet customer expectations.
FlexLink has ambitious growth plans, and you will play a key role in shaping the future for the Nordic market, whilst ensuring great project results.
Main Activities and Responsibilities
Define the annual Project & Engineering budget (cost, delivery plan, headcount, investments) in cooperation with the Central Management Team and the Area Management.
Manage staff including workload analysis, headcount requirement, new staff recruitment and performance reviews including KPI evaluation.
Daily management and support to lead and mentor all team members with departmental responsibility.
Set department efficiency monitoring systems and procedures and ensure departmental targets are achieved.
Ensure that delivery time and cost control of all projects are efficient.
Ensure compliance with laws and internal regulations concerning safety, hygiene and working environment, investigating accidents, promoting safety-conscious work performance and training programs.
Cooperate with the Workshop & Installation Manager to set efficient assembly and installation plans.
Ensure effective management of the projects throughout the whole project life cycle, from the time the project is sold until the installation of the machinery on the customer site.
Support team members with technical guidance, and ensure high-quality solutions through systematic design reviews.
Develop team members according to individual development plans and local business roadmap.

What You Need to Be Successful
Degree in Engineering
Some experience in a multinational manufacturing or systems integration company
Experience as a Manager within Projects or Engineering
Experience within automation or machine manufacturing
Technical depth and ability to deep dive into technical solutions
Ability to understand Business Economics concepts
Problem solving approach
Innovative personality
Flexibility and Change mindset
Effective communication and listening
Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
