What you'll do
You will be a part of a network of technical specialists, solution architects, products and solution managers across Volvo Cars. In collaboration, you will facilitate the tech team and propose, develop, and evolve our technology plan at Connected Experience. The scope spans over several functional areas to bring best user experience, like connectivity, infotainment, remote functions and applications, hardware & mechatronics, both in an embedded as well cloud-based services domain, on a global market at scale.
 You will balance time on driving and managing investigations and exploratory activities concerning everything from new technologies, platforms, to manage requirements, standards and regulations, collaborations, and assessment of suppliers to enable our technology plan with the support of system architects from respective domain areas.
Together with team architects, you will help to facilitate and coordinate choice of architecture solution cross teams and units.
 Activities might also involve technology scouting and strategic R&D work, proof or concepts and the connection to research, as well representing Volvo Cars in relevant committees and conferences to facilitate our technology plan. 
 You will be strengthening the awareness and culture of delivering best-in-class user experience on a global market at scale as a key to our success, why coaching and steering activities related to deliver upon our technology plan is an important part of the work.

What you'll bring
To fully enjoy this opportunity, we believe you have a background in software or information technology with at least a master’s degree or equivalent. 
You have a long professional experience in embedded and cloud-based services and distributed complex systems, as well as excellent knowledge and hands-on experience of software development and system architecture.
Your experience in analyzing and making recommendations regarding the choice of the technology solution, managing requirements, and driving architecture evolution on a solution level are prerequisites for this position. Preferably, you have worked with Connected Experience and the automotive industry in your previous assignments. The role requires good organizational, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills since you will work with diverse stakeholders.

About the role

Your responsibilities:

Who you are
You have proven experience from business development within the automotive damage repair area with a good knowledge of customer service processes and experience from local markets (NSCs, retailers, customers). 
Experience from damage estimation (evaluation) systems and how to operate a damage repair workshop outside of Scandinavia is an advantage.
You have experience from Project Management and Change Management.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English is important and experience from Agile way of working is meritorious.

We are looking for a person with good written and verbal communication skills. You have experience from quickly learning new contexts and an ability to communicate and describe those for a third part.

Vad erbjuder vi?
Produktionen på Torslandafabriken är uppdelad i tre områden: kaross-, måleri- och monteringsfabrik.
Just nu genomför vi stora investeringar i Monteringsfabriken som byggs om i sektioner vilka tas i drift löpande under de kommande åren.
Detta skapar en intressant och spännande arbetsplats med stora tekniksprång som kräver kunniga och engagerade Underhållstekniker.

Därför söker vi nu Underhållstekniker inom ett flertal områden som El, Mek, automation och PLC mm.

Som Underhållstekniker arbetar du med att säkerställa produktionsutrustningens tekniska driftsäkerhet genom utförande av avhjälpande och förebyggande underhåll. I uppgiften ingår också utredningsuppdrag avseende tekniska störningar samt att genomföra ombyggnads- och förbättringsarbeten i produktionsutrustningar. Arbetet bedrivs i nära samarbete med produktion samt i ett flertal nätverk med olika organisationer och leverantörer.
Den högautomatiserade produktionsutrustningen i monteringsfabriken består av PLC-system, robotar, transportsystem, dragare och produktanpassad mekanik. Då systemintegrationen är hög, kommer du som Underhållstekniker att arbeta i många olika typer av produktionsutrustningar.

Du och dina kunskaper
Vi vill att du har gymnasieutbildning inriktad mot industriautomation/El-styr alternativt mekanik/hydraulik och teoretisk el-kompetens (motsvarande allmän behörighet).
Du har också praktisk erfarenhet från underhållsarbete inom el/IT, industriautomation och/eller verkstadsarbeten.
Arbetet kräver B-körkort, goda kunskaper i engelska och god PC-vana inom både mjukvaru- och hårdvaruområdet. Har du kunskap/erfarenhet inom PLC- och robotprogrammering samt underhållssystemet Maximo ser vi det som meriterande. Även kunskaper kring produktions – och underhållsprocesser samt VCMS är något vi värdesätter högt.

What you’ll do

As a Engineering Manager you will be leading a committed team in designing, building and maintaining the central Volvo Cars Data & Analytics platform including infrastructure, tools and frameworks that support a decentralized, scalable and governed data ecosystem. 

By managing people, technology, delivery and business impact you will be instrumental on our mission to transform the data ecosystem to empower our colleagues with trusted data.
We are in an early phase of our transformation journey so key priorities for this role is to build your dream team through hiring and taking a leading role in setting our technical direction. 
We are currently looking for two Engineering Managers, who both have many commonalities but with slightly different product areas:

•    Engineering Manager – Data Platform Golden Path
This product area is focusing on the end-to-end user experience for our users by integrating the right technical components and abstracting complexity.

•    Engineering Manager – Data Platform Computational Governance 
This product area is focusing on the data governance guardrails of the platform with the aim to make data product standard adherence frictionless for our users.

In both roles, you will:

•    Lead and grow a team of hardworking engineers through hiring, mentoring, inspiring and feedback.
•    Ensure through user feedback and a tight collaboration with our Product Manager team that our platform capabilities are prioritized, designed and built to solve our user’s problems
•    Advocate and advance modern, agile platform engineering practices 
•    Help ensure the solutions are scalable, sustainable, architecturally sound, and technical debt is both incurred consciously and repaid in a reasonable time 
•    Be an active member of the D&A Platforms leadership team and collaborate with other leaders across the organization 

What you’ll bring

We are looking for you who has a genuine interest in people, data and tech. You are comfortable in leading through ambiguity and are empowering your team to act and learn in uncertain and complex environments. You are also making sure the mission, strategy and goals are clear and are delegating authority and responsibility to your team members, giving them the autonomy and flexibility to make decisions and take actions. Furthermore you have experience in building diverse and motivated teams.

This is the role for you with several years of experience in the data / software engineering space as an individual contributor and with experience of leadership. 

You have experience of large scale transformation initiatives and knows what a modern data tech stack looks like but also what it takes to harmonise a complex and heterogeneous data tech landscape in an iterative way.

You also have

•    Advanced English communication skills
•    Experience working with highly visible projects in an international environment
•    Knowledge of or experience with Data Mesh and data product concepts

HMI Engineer for AD/ADAS functions

What you’ll do
Our Human Machine Interaction (HMI) team at Volvo Cars is looking for a HMI engineer to design, integrate, and verify autonomous driving and active safety functions for a safe and personal driving experience. The primary objective for the team is to develop and launch human-centric, safe, and robust AD/ADAS functions to customers.
The successful candidate will work with legal and functional requirements and driving human factor issues across the department to ensure safe interaction with our AD/ADAS functions. You will contribute to the design, development, and verification & validation of user interaction. This will contain to plan the work together with the team and execute on the planned activities. This also includes ensuring a data-driven development by conducting user studies. 

Collaboration is key to this role, as the HMI engineer will work closely with the Function owners, UX organization, software suppliers, and multiple Volvo Car Corporation (VCC) teams. 
You will be part of:
•    Creating a safe interaction between drivers and AD/ADAS functions. 
•    Ensuring a consistent and valuable customer experience by using a holistic approach whilst developing the HMI.

What you‘ll bring
We are looking for a fast-learning, self-driven, and proactive team player who is curious, innovative, and eager to understand their surroundings. You are committed to safety, enthusiastic about autonomous driving vehicles, and passionate about creating new customer experiences.

We believe that you have:
•    +3 years of professional experience within the field of human factors, automotive, HMI or similar.
•    Knowledge in systemization of AD/ADAS functions as the user interaction is strongly connected to the function behavior.
•    Experience conducting user research around human factors of automated driving, data analytics, and data-driven decision-making and development projects.
•    At least a Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science, Applied Psychology, Human Factors, or similar.
•    Strong communicative skills to collaborate efficiently with others and to spread knowledge and ideas to the people around you. 
•    Self-leadership with a high ability to execute and solve problems together with others.
•    A curious and eager mindset to bring new innovative ideas into product development.
•    are fluent in English, spoken and written.
•    Swedish driving license (B-körkort) or equivalent
