What you will do
The Digital Developer position is part of the SML Supply Chain Optimization (SCO) organization.?SCO is the function at Service Market Logistics where we enable customer success through an optimized supply chain from suppliers to customers by balancing service levels, tied-up capital, transport cost and performance. One of the most fun parts of being a part of the SCO team is that we work together with all Truck brands and Business areas. What we do has a direct impact on the satisfaction of our customers. You?will be primarily responsible for the long-term development of the state-of-the-art product, which will maximize value by combining software development skills with supply chain domain knowledge. You will also contribute to the ongoing digitalization with automation solutions on both a smaller and larger scale. Other responsibilities will include ensuring high-quality forecasting of future?spare parts demand for Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks, VCE and Penta.
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
A university Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science or a related field; or equivalent experience.
Experience working with logistics in a complex global supply chain
Strong problem solving, research and analytical skills
Ability to visualize and tell a story with data that compels stakeholders to understand and take action (PowerBI, etc…).
Experience in 1 or more scripting languages (Python, R, Java, Apache Spark, etc...)
Knowledge of relational database query languages ()
Knowledge of Agile methodology, Microsoft Azure, DevOPs, or software development

Who you are

•    Bsc/Msc in relevant field
•    Implementation and Development: Expertise in leading complex CAD and PDM system implementations and developing team members

What you will do
The function Energy Storage Engineering (ESE) is accountable for the end-to-end process of developing, verifying, and delivering battery pack HW platform and components in accordance with system requirements and project scope. It plays a crucial role in contributing to architecture, system design, and the technical roadmap, ensuring component quality and safety throughout, and serving as the primary interface with Group Trucks Purchasing (GTP) and Group Trucks Operations (GTO) to drive collaboration and efficiency in electromobility initiatives.
The Group Manager ESE Hardware Verification is a challenging position with the responsibility for securing efficient and high-quality verification of ESE Hardware in all phases of the development.  You will work closely with other functions in ESE and in the Electromobility organization.
The key to success is to drive innovation by the ability to actively manage change, balancing and handling multiple and competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.  You have the experience to optimize the efficiency of existing processes, way of working and set new structures for internal and external stakeholders.
Your deep understanding of verification methods and tools for battery hardware, securing project deliveries according to the timeplans with a high level of quality, stakeholder management abilities in the automotive industry, and proficiency in processes and deliverables, coupled with your ability to take action, will enable you to successfully lead your team and elevate the Energy Storage Engineering function in Electromobility to the next level.

Other important competences required for this role:
•    MSc degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or similar

•    Solid understanding and experience of automotive development processes.
•    Solid experience and understanding of Energy Storage.
•    Extensive experience of verification and testing of battery HW 
•    Proven track record in driving project excellence, with experience in overseeing complex initiatives from concept to completion.

What you will do

The Vehicle Feature Laboratory (VFL) is one of the most versatile chassis dynos for commercial vehicles in the world today. We perform fuel-, emission-, thermal-, road simulation- and driveline tests on trucks and buses of various brands. The people working in VFL consists of engineers working closely as a team supported by rig mechanics to deliver test results in cooperation with test engineers. You will work with test engineers and be in contact with other functions and entities, both external and internal, like sub suppliers, electrical-, mechanical- or software support and calibration and maintenance teams.

Main Responsibilities
Act customer focused with interest in, and talent for, problem solving to be able to deliver according to test plan. During periods you need to be able to handle many of these activities at the same time. Responsibilities include:

* Coordinate rig preparations and installation of vehicle.
* Operating the test rig and vehicle based on requests from test engineers.
* Develop test sequences to correlate with simulation tools.
* Continuously monitor and build knowledge concerning future rig developments.
* Secure high uptime, improve and develop rig functions, measurement equipment and test methods based on observations during daily work and input from projects, suppliers or future legislations.



Your future team

Our group, Vehicle Test Cells, is a member of the Complete Vehicle Laboratory department within Complete Vehicle in GTT. CV Lab serve several BA/BU with a wide range of solutions within testing.
We are a highly skilled and motivated team and are responsible for managing most of the fixed test rigs within Complete Vehicle in Lundby, ensuring that they are functioning correctly with high expectations on predictive uptime. It is a lot of fun and rewarding to contribute to make a difference.
We are now looking for a Test Rig Development engineer to join our team!


Who are you?

We believe you have the following qualifications and skills

* Engineering degree or similar.
* Customer focused.
* Knowledge and experience from measurement equipment.
* Ability to work in a team.
* Flexible, positive and open-minded attitude

* Fluent in Swedish and English.


It is even more positive if you also bring experience from operating test rigs or vehicle testing together with experience from correlation work between testing and simulation. Driving license for trucks is also a plus! We believe that competence gaps can be compensated by an open mindset and willingness to quickly learn from others, so we really hope that you share our eagerness to learn more and constantly want to develop your skills.

Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and execute test cases for Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) environments.
