What you will do

At Exhaust After Treatment System (EATS) department within GTT Powertrain Engineering you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will be part of EATS Controls software development group, which is responsible for all the software functions within EATS. With new concepts, new CO2-demands and emission legislation across the globe, our group develops innovative emission control solutions. We are accountable for the lifecycle management of our products, from advanced engineering, through product development into the maintenance phase. We implement both embedded functionalities on board the truck as well as functionality located off board using telematics data. Apart from EATS, we contribute our part of transformation for the propulsion technology with collaboration in electromobility area as well.

Your future team
You shall be part of a group of controls and software engineers from across the world collaborating across the organization. Working with the diverse experience in the group, shall be enriching for your development as well as the inclusiveness shall facilitate you to feel engaged and rewarding with your deliveries.
The group works in agile teams of 5-7 colleagues with complementary skills committed for a common purpose. Every team plan their work in 3-week sprints and deliver solutions together as a team. SW development is mainly with graphical programing tool like Matlab, Simulink and Targetlink, along with some scripting with python and C-coding.

Task and Responsibilities

During the integration work, you are responsible for planning, deliveries and requirements balancing according to maturity levels and milestones in the area together with the stake holders.
You are also responsible for an annual review of methods, working methods and documentation together with the architect team.
You will also educate and mentor less experienced architects in the team.

Competence and Skills
I'm looking for you who have an MSc degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent knowledge/experience. You have worked several years in the automotive industry and have a solid experience in geometry architect work.
You have a wide experience of early to late phases in project work, experience from truck development is a qualifier.
You should enjoy working in a flexible team. Be able to change focus depending on the situation. Working in networks is a part of our daily work. You should take initiatives and make decisions based on knowledge and facts.
You need to have very good knowledge in CATIA V5 and good knowledge in Creo is a qualifier.

Cab faces major challenges and opportunities in connection to new technology that comes in our vehicles as well as adapting to new legal requirements, sustainability and new drivelines. The geometry assurance responsibility is complete cab divided in different geometry areas and we are looking for one person as area responsible for cab exterior and one person for interior driving and living.

Task and Responsibilities
In this role you will manage and lead the geometry assurance activities with focus on right degree of maturity in connection to project milestone from the early phases to the industrialization phase meaning:  
Set product project targets and ambition levels based on wanted feature position and competitor analysis together with QI feature leader and team leader for geometry assurance.
Drive geometry area and support engineering teams to reach the right maturity level in connection to Volvo geometry assurance process.    
Together with team leader report the status to project and Cab management team. 
In this role you act cross functional, and you needs to keep a holistic view to be able to distribute well balanced requirements to the different engineering teams.
To be able to secure the geometry in all disciplines the work includes frequent contact with product design, engineering departments, manufacturing, plants and with suppliers.
You are also responsible for an annual review of methods, working methods and documentation together with the assurance team.
You will also educate and mentor less experienced members in the team.

Competence and Skills
I'm looking for you who have an MSc degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent knowledge/experience. You have worked several years in the automotive industry and have a solid experience.
You have a solid experience of early to late phases in project work, experience from truck development is a qualifier.
You need to have very good knowledge using a simulation and tolerance calculation tool, we use RD&T (Robust Design and Tolerancing) so experience and knowledge using RD&T is a qualifier.
You need also to have knowledge in Catia V5.
You should enjoy working in a flexible team. Be able to change focus depending on the situation. Working in networks is a part of our daily work. You should take initiatives and make decisions based on knowledge and facts.

What you will do
As the Engineer for the exterior, front and side, you will serve as an Engineering Task Leader (ETL). Your mission is to develop an area of the exterior.  You will lead the development process, ensuring Quality, Delivery, Cost, Features, and Sustainability (QDCFs) standards are met. Collaborating with highly skilled suppliers, that develop the components, and a supportive GTT team, your main responsibilities will include:

•    Setting requirements and evaluating supplier work.
•    Managing the project timeline, changes, and cost evolution.
•    Acting as the primary technical contact for suppliers
•    Leading the technical development and create road maps for the future.
•    Communicating progress to various internal stakeholders, including production, product design, purchasing, and feature leaders.

Who you are
You have a strong engineering background, likely started as a design engineer working with injection molded plastic and sheet metal design where you started to develop a broader T-shaped profile. What you will do
As a Senior CAD Engineer you will have the possibility to influence the future of the Exterior Front and side area. Together with your team mates you will be responsible to develop next generation truck.
You will work closely together with the lead engineers.
•    Make detail design in Catia V5 based on advanced A-surfaces from product design.
•    Set the right technical demands on the parts according to the company standard.
•    Secure progress and deliveries in different design stages within projects together with the team, on- and off-site by managing part numbers, structure, and release administration in KOLA and PDM system

Who you are
We believe you have a strong engineering background. You have probably already worked in a wide range of different complex design areas where you have used a wide range of different materials and processes. When phasing a challenge, you stay calm and finding solutions. You are a communicative person who plans, aligns, and can focus on the highest priorities. Experience we seek:
