Job description
As a Hardware Engineer you will participate in the complete development process of system-on-chip designs based on our IP cores, from architectural design, through development and verification, to implementation and prototype validation.
Your job tasks include:
Development of RTL models of IP cores and system-on-chip designs using VHDL
Verification and FPGA prototyping of designs
Implementation in target technologies, including both ASIC and FPGA
Technical support to customers and sales organization

Qualifications
To be a good fit for this position, you should have some years of relevant experience, along with knowledge in RTL design, verification, and implementation, preferably targeting FPGA or ASIC development. You have a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a relevant field and thrive on solving complex problems.
We consider it valuable if you have experience in one or more of these areas:
System-on-chip design with on-chip buses, such as AMBA AHB or AXI
IP core development in an HDL, preferably VHDL
Experience from working with FPGAs and FPGA tools
Knowledge in computer architecture, microprocessor design, RISC-V, SPARC
Knowledge in communication protocols: Ethernet, CAN, PCIe, JESD204, USB, etc.
Test bench development in VHDL and/or SystemVerilog

You understand the importance of technical documentation like sharing your competence with your colleagues and taking responsibility for your work tasks. Working both independently and in a team suits you well and you’re always eager to learn more.

Product Integration Team:

Electrical Design Team:

The team plays a crucial role in the certification process, contributing throughout the entire lifecycle. We also collaborate closely with the production team to ensure a smooth transition to manufacturing. As such, the Electrical Design team bridges product development and production, ensuring that our products are safe, robust, certified, and ready for the market on time.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of tasks, from developing technical documentation and certification plans to conducting detailed electrical simulations and hands-on work during testing phases. You will be involved in cross-functional meetings, participate in design reviews, and provide technical feedback for continuous improvements. No two weeks will be the same.

About the Role
You will focus on the design, testing, and documentation of electrical subsystems. Your daily tasks will range from drafting technical specifications for future components and products to troubleshooting and refining existing designs.Key Responsibilities
Develop electrical subsystems for current and future fuel cell products.
Electrical integration of fuel cell systems in different applications: Stationary power, marine and aviation.
Select, test and validate components.
Explore innovative solutions through concept, prototype, and validation stages.

Qualifications
M.Sc./B.Sc. in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or Mechatronics).
Hands on experience of working with electronics.
Capable of using measurement tools, such as oscilloscope, multimeter, etc.
Fluent Swedish and/or English spoken and written.
Strong computer skills.

Preferred Skills
Experience with CAD tools, preferably ARCADIA.
Knowledge of electrical systems in the voltage range of 60-1500 V DC.
Familiarity with communication protocols like CAN and relevant analyzers.
Experience in testing, assembly, or manufacturing.
Experience reading and writing technical requirements and specifications.
Experience working with product compliance.

Att jobba som junior systemingenjör på Saab Surveillance
Som junior systemingenjör kommer du att ingå i ett team som arbetar brett kring produktutvecklingens alla faser. Du kommer arbeta i en sektion inom Radar, idag bestående av 17 personer som ansvarar för verifiering på antennmätsträckor. Teamet arbetar med mikrovågskontroller på apparatnivå.
Du kommer att arbeta med RF i teknikens framkant. Du kommer bland annat hantera kravställningen från systemnivån som påverkar tex antennen och dess funktionalitet. Det innebär också ett tvärfunktionellt samarbete med andra teknikområden såsom mjukvara och elektronik. Arbetet utförs även i labbmiljö där du hanterar och förbereder den utrustning som ska användas under verifiering. Du genomför verifiering och analyserar resultat och dokumenterar resultat.

The software ecosystem is to a large degree based on open-source projects where you will be involved in public discussions and contributions from time to time.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with at least 10 years of applicable experience within embedded systems development such as SW/HW integration, device drivers, communication protocols and real-time systems. Your experience should also include:
Embedded operating systems, such as Real-time Operating System (RTOS) and bare metal C
Device driver design, or other low-level programming skills
SoC computer architecture understanding, such as bus communication or ISA
Peripheral interfaces and communication protocols
Automated testing using available frameworks, such as Jenkins
The development is mainly performed using C programming, but also using SPARC/RISC-V assembly, C++, and scripting languages.

With multiple years of embedded software experience or previous experiences as a team leader, this can also be an opportunity as a team lead or product owner.

This is an opportunity to take part in a dedicated team around the software development for our LEON/SPARC32 and NOEL-V/RISC-V processors, and you can also be involved in supporting development of instruction simulators and hardware debug software tools support, which are tightly coupled with our SoC solutions. The software ecosystem is to a large degree based on open-source projects where you will be involved in public discussions and contributions from time to time.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with at least 4 years of applicable experience within embedded systems development such as SW/HW integration, device drivers, communication protocols and real-time systems. Your experience should also include:
Embedded operating systems, such as Real-time Operating System (RTOS) and bare metal C
Device driver design, or other low-level programming skills
SoC computer architecture understanding, such as bus communication or ISA
Peripheral interfaces and communication protocols

The development is mainly performed using C programming, but also using SPARC/RISC-V assembly, C++, and scripting languages.
Personal qualities
You enjoy analyzing complex problems with attention to detail and quality. You possess excellent English skills, both verbally and written. You’re always eager to learn more and share your competence with your colleagues. If you are a senior embedded developer or have previous experience as a team leader, this is considered a plus, and the role will be adapted accordingly.

Job description
In this role, you will contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures. Your efforts will aid and improve operational performance. Your responsibilities will include:
Implementing all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring compliance.
Responsibility for certification of Frontgrade Gaisler according to the AS/EN9100 standard.
Planning and conducting supplier quality system audits, process audits, and internal audits.
Measuring and monitoring quality KPIs.
Understanding customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.
Monitoring supplier performance and investigating the causes of quality problems, proposing solutions as needed.
Coordinate topics related to REACH, RoHS and similar regulatory.
Educating employees on quality best practices to sustain organizational performance.

Qualifications
The candidate we are looking for holds at least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. You have a minimum of five years’ experience of quality. You have proven experience in Quality Assurance and manufacturing and have the ability and experience to effectively deal with customers and suppliers. Other qualities that we value for this role:
Experience and knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Standards, and preferably experience or knowledge of the AS/EN9100 standard or other equivalent ISO9001-complementary standards.
A deep understanding of quality control processes and the legal standards that apply.
A keen eye for detail and a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
