Work description

You will be part of a software team in our project or product organization. The project teams are working closely with our customers to ensure the software fulfills their needs and expectations and successfully go into serial production, whereas our product teams are responsible for algorithm development in key areas such as head- and eye-tracking, attentiveness and drowsiness, face identification and interior sensing.

We are building safety features in novel technology that will significantly improve road safety and will transform our transportation experiences. Safety features such as determining people’s seating locations in a vehicle, if they are wearing seat belts, and detection of left-behind children, as well as features that enhance comfort, wellness, and entertainment by detecting occupants’ emotions and gestures.

Development activities range from early-stage prototyping to porting and deployment to a wide set of automotive embedded platforms.

We solve these challenging problems utilizing state-of-the-art algorithms in the fields of image processing, the latest machine learning techniques / AI, mathematics and accelerated computing.

The work includes developing new features and applications, embedding and optimizing the software for specific target platforms and environments, testing and verification for specific vehicle programs as well as working with our customers to create the best possible user experience.

You will have an active impact of the processes and projects and will work in close cooperation with the other talented team members. Your contribution to how we can meet our customers needs with tomorrow's technology will be of crucial importance.

? Must-have-skills:


- University degree within Engineering context preferably Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar.

- 2+ years of software development experience, preferably within embedded systems.

- 1+ year of work experience in C++ and/or Python development.

- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Good-to-have-skills:


- Experience in one or more fields of image processing, graphics programming, real time operating systems such as QNX, Integrity or Autosar.

The tam has the responsibility to develop the vehicles exterior mechatronic systems, such as exterior lighting including headlamps, rear lamps, wiper, washer, sensor cleaning and rear-view systems. The team is responsible for the function ownership and function development of the exterior lighting and software needed to control the lighting functionality.

What you’ll do:
As a Software Developer, you will be designing and implementing code in the embedded software platform. As a senior engineer you are expected to lead and guide the developers in e.g. architectural and quality aspects of the SW design solutions. You are a part of a development team that is responsible for its backlog and working closely with Product Owner and other stakeholders to ensure a capable and quality assured software platform.

You and your skills:
To be successful in this role they see that you are a Software Developer with proven hands-on experience of designing and coding complex embedded systems. You also have experience of delivering software into a Continuous Integration tool chain and have an interest in developing methods and tools to facilitate those releases.

Together we are delivering AC- and DC-charging functionalities as well as energy management systems internal and external the Vehicles. What you will do
As a Software Engineer you will define the embedded software within components outside of the vehicle, like wallboxes and energy storage systems. You will work closely with our different suppliers as well as our internal organization.
We see that you strengthen our existing team with experience from software development for components and systems, e.g. wallboxes, electric converters, battery systems and related measurement & communication systems.
Close collaboration between different teams and suppliers is vital for our organization, so good communication skills, flexibility and openness are key.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.

Proven track record of at least 5 years in international sales within the automotive industry, with a focus on selling advanced automotive technologies or software solutions to Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs.

Deep understanding of driver monitoring systems, in-cabin sensing software, and automotive safety technologies.

Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

Ability to travel internationally as needed.

Work description

At Smart Eye we develop advanced automotive grade software,
and the mission of the SRE team is to make sure that we can deliver
the software with high quality and with a high frequency.

To achieve this, we help the developing teams by providing a stable and fast development environment. We work at several different levels involving tooling, continuous integration, pipeline optimization and management and configuration of high-performance servers.

We work with all the different development teams of the company and provide the necessary expertise to improve the quality of code and processes to meet our highly set standards.

We are also involved in developing and building on our high-tech infrastructure to the next level of the latest technology.
