The Role
Energy Storage Systems (ESS) Lab & Data is a group within the Electromobility Test & Verification organization, responsible for the ESS lab and verification data infrastructure. We are looking for a Verification Data Management Engineer with a passion for developing tools for data processing, management and presentation. You are eager to continuously improve and contribute to creating better solutions that bring value to our company.
The assignment includes but is not limited to:
•    Tool development
o    Developing and maintaining a Python based inhouse tool used for post processing of test data
o    Tool function development and testing
o    User interface development
•    Data management
o    Develop and maintain data handling, in strong collaboration with Volvo IT
•    Data presentation
o    Present requested data in a clear and informative way
o    Develop and maintain automated creation of related graphs, figures, tables etc.
o    Develop and maintain automated reports 
•    Process development
o    Contribute to develop our way of working, to increase efficiency and flow
The candidate is further expected to:

To succeed in this role, you will require   
•    Python programming experience
•    A passion for data and how to present it
•    Experience or education related to batteries or hardware verification is a plus

The team - Charging and Infrastructure Solution - C&IS;
We are a function within Volvo Energy where we develop Battery Electric Vehicle Charging and infrastructure solutions in conjunction with Business Area’s and partners. We work by lobbying and advocacy, legislation monitoring, charging infrastructure partnerships and associations to create and accelerate industry standardization and roll-out for charging.

We jointly simplify the electrification transformation for our customers and the society as well as accelerate the journey towards 100% fossil free and in doing so, support Volvo Group’s sustainability target.

What you will do
As a Charging Solution Engineer you will be a key person in ensuring that the Volvo group can support our customers with world leading charging solutions via our turnkey projects. Your focus will be to secure an optimised charging solution for our end customers. You will do this in in close cooperation with Volvo Group colleagues.

Main Responsibilities and Activities

•    Based on a structured customer need analysis, prepare and present, optimal charging equipment solutions for our customers. This will be done in close collaboration with our turnkey charging solution project managers. 
•    Contribute with charging equipment knowledge to our Business Areas and turnkey projects, in close collaboration with our Product Managers for preferred charger suppliers.
•    Be part of a commercial crew, led by the sales organization, to support turnkey charging solutions in the market.
•    Support turnkey customers during the start-up phase to ensure a smooth commissioning of charging equipment.
•    Contribute with charging equipment experience to our charging equipment road-maps and long-term strategies.
•    For selected activities drive and own change implementation.

Qualifications likely required to be successful
•    University degree in engineering or equivalent.
•    Experience from product development, project management and/or pre-sales engineering. 
•    Fluent in English, verbal and written.


Qualifications that would be an extra plus
•    Experience from commercial vehicle industry or charging infrastructure business.
•    Excellent presentation and communication skills
•    Technical knowledge in electromobility products, systems and components. Experience of charging equipment especially meriting.
•    Commercial driving license (C/CE for heavy-duty trucks or D for bus)

You will be part of the Productivity Services team. We are a very diverse team with different genders, nationalities, and areas of expertise. One of our deliveries is an advanced energy prediction algorithm. This algorithm can be used in all phases of the product cycle: development, pre-sales, pre-trip, onboard, post trip, after-sales. In addition to this we have other service enablers connected to the battery system, chargers and other electromobility domains. 
What will you do?? 
You will play a pivotal role in our organization by leading the architecture for service enablers. Enable collaboration between teams to align digital services for electromobility, and support and drive the roadmap for digital service enablers. Provide technical leadership in cloud migration, system integration, and process optimization. 
Main expectations from this role are to:? 
•    Lead the development of service enabler architecture for electromobility and enable collaboration cross-functionally.?? 
•    Design and lead API solution architectures for connected truck systems, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.? 
•    Architect and implement Azure cloud infrastructure, achieving production readiness within tight timelines.? 
•    Develop and enforce DevOps guardrails, including GitHub pipelines and API authentication mechanisms.? 
•    Manage cybersecurity architecture, conduct reviews, and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.? 
•    Optimize AWS cloud architectures for performance, cost-efficiency, and other compliance.?
