What you will do


Cab Engineering is responsible for developing advanced new cabs for our future Volvo Heavy Duty trucks.

Our team's responsibility covers End User Functionality for Passive Safety, Visibility and Comfort related functionality globally. We are continuously adapting our current products to different market demands, and you will be working in a tight team that is cooperating with the different sites globally.

The End User Function Owner/System Provider role enables global responsibility of end user functionality and offering across brands and products in terms of user/customer need and wanted system behavior and requires a broad understanding of truck vs traffic behavior and user needs. You are comfortable in taking ownership in a globally cross functional team whilst collaborating in a dedicated way. You have experience of user-centric development and have a genuine interest in traffic safety. You are self-directed, organized and have an analytical way of taking on tasks and driving them forward.  

To be successful in this position we think that you have experience of leading a team of experts, you possess solid communication skills and thrive in a multi-cultural context. As this is a technical position you need to enjoy understanding and analysing complex system behavior.

Who are you?

Task and Responsibilities:
* Identify scope for concerned EUF by input from; Competitor analyses, Project prerequisites, Feature requirements, Technology development, Legal demands, consumer ratings etc


* Break down EUF scope to EUF requirements in SE-tool


* Perform Functional Safety (ISO26262), Cyber security and Quality analyses such as HARA, FSC, TSC, TARA and S-FMEA


* Lead and coordinate integration activities for the EUF cross functionality across engineering departments in all product life cycle phases


* Document the EUF solution in the System Description


* Assist project manager with input for time plans and concept decisions


* Be receiver of and address issues in the distributed solution for the EUF System (quality reports etc.) 


Profile:

•    M Sc or equivalent.
•    8+ years of experience within Passive Safety work in the automotive industry. 
•    Good understanding of the tasks and responsibilities outlined above. 
•    Flexible, enthusiastic, and methodical individual who is self-motivated and able to work well under own initiative.
•    A strong end-user mindset
•    Excellent collaboration/communication skills
•    Experience in leading cross functional development is a merit.
•    Experience within Mechatronic systems.
•    Experience in working with ISO26262 process and its work products.
•    Experience in working with Cyber Security process and its work products.
•    Proficiency in the English language
•    Experience in requirement writing.

Om tjänsten
I rollen som Hårdvaruutvecklare ansvarar du och ditt team främst för att utveckla AGV:er (automated guided vehicles) och att våra självkörande truckar presterar som förväntat innan de levereras till slutkunden. Du kommer tillhöra ett team om fyra personer där ni arbetar tätt med övriga teknikteam på företaget; automation, mekanik och elkonstruktion. Samarbetet innefattar beslut kring design, motorval och motorstyrningar med mera. Du kommer arbeta växelvis med att ta fram program och konfigurationer, för att sedan ladda på, testa och optimera dessa i verkstad/testmiljö.
Vår tekniska miljö bygger på externa och interna system och består bland annat av CANbus-kommunikation, SICK Flexi Soft (säkerhets-PLC) och ytterligare ett flertal mjukvaror. Vi tillverkar inga standardiserade AGV:er utan planerar och skräddarsyr varje projekt efter kundens specifika önskemål.

Your role will be a cross-functional task leader within Floor System & Luggage Compartment. As a Development Engineer you will lead the design and development task within a cross-functional team according to time, technology, quality and costs targets. You will work together with internal teams, outsourced partners and suppliers to fulfill product and project deliverables and meet milestones.
What you'll bring
You have at least a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering or equivalent qualifications. You are expected to have experience from the automotive industry and product development processes, combined with an excellent ability to see the complexity of the whole process and understand the system requirements. You have documented experience development at OEM or supplier. Good technical understanding and preferable CAD experience (preferable Catia).
 
It would be an advantage to have Team Center and Volvo Product Development Process knowledge and experience. Knowledge of VCC systems is advantage. Fluent English (written & verbal) is mandatory and having a driver’s license (B) would be meritorious.

Requested Qualifications

Deep handson expertise in paid digital marketing channels, including SEM (Google Ads, Bing), Social (such as LinkedIn and Meta) and Display advertising, with a strong focus on B2B performance and lead generation.
Strong analytical skills and experience working with digital marketing analytics, attribution models and reporting tools to evaluate performance and drive continuous optimization.
Proven experience in endtoend campaign management, including setup, optimization, budget allocation and performance followup across multiple markets and channels.
Uptodate knowledge of digital marketing platforms, algorithms, formats, trends and regulatory requirements relevant for B2B marketing and paid media.
Ability to work effectively in a global, multistakeholder environment, collaborating closely with content, analytics, channel owners and local market teams.

What you will do 
As a Process Engineer in our prototype line facility, you will be responsible for a specific process and its related equipment. In this role, you will take a leading position in process development, optimization, and technical problem solving, while also working hands-on with experimental activities and equipment support. 
You will lead process development and improvement projects using systematic Design of Experiments (DOE) to better understand key parameters and improve product quality and electrochemical performance. A key part of the role is to analyze data, identify trends, and translate findings into actions that improve both quality and efficiency. You will also troubleshoot technical issues, support commissioning of new equipment, and collaborate closely with suppliers during FAT, SAT, and equipment modifications when needed. 
Working cross-functionally with material and cell design teams, you will help ensure successful battery cell development and share key learnings with relevant stakeholders. You will also be involved in evaluating future equipment needs and driving implementation of upgrades and new solutions. Over time, you will build deep knowledge in process design, equipment optimization, maintenance, planning, analytics, and controls.

An MSc in Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemistry 


Previous hands-on experience in process engineering, process equipment, and process development or improvement work in an industrial setting 


Experience from mixing, coating, calendaring, or cell assembly processes, preferably within the battery industry or a similar environment 


Experience working in experimental or production processes in a data-driven environment, including SPC and DOE 


Experience with commissioning of new equipment and coordination with equipment suppliers 


Experience in developing standards, procedures, and documentation in line with industry expectations 


Excellent written and spoken English 


In addition, you are structured, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment where collaboration, ownership, and a can-do attitude are important.

Your main focus
Your main focus areas and responsibility in this job are to lead and develop a team with experts within Workplace and Service Concepts and to contribute with your expertise within this field. Your future team
We belong to the Vehicle Embedded Systems & Architecture, part of Function & Software Defined Vehicles within Trucks Technology & Industrial Division. We design, develop and maintain the Logging Framework for our new products.


What you will do
We are looking for a System Architect who will help us design and lead the implementation of the new Logging Framework and Observability within our embedded software platform. You will drive the next-generation logging platform architecture supporting Linux, AUTOSAR, QNX, CAN, UDS, and edge computing environments. You will also own the logging architecture roadmap, backlog prioritization, and delivery for onboard vehicle logging and observability platforms across global engineering teams.
Your responsibilities include:
Leading the work for the onboard Logging Framework and Observability
Coordinating onboard and offboard activities
Managing concepts and presenting new concepts within the responsible area
Leading the work to ensure the COVESA DLT software update in open source, which is used by Volvo suppliers (ICM, CGW, and VCM)
Architecting cloud-compatible AI pipelines for ECU and Azure deployment
Leading and driving work for software development
Guiding teams in their needs, priorities, and technical direction
Serving as the go-to person in this area
