About the Assignment
You will help shape exterior components and lighting concepts in an automotive design environment where visual quality, functionality, and technical feasibility need to come together. In this role, you will turn design briefs into detailed proposals and develop solutions that meet both creative ambitions and complex engineering constraints.
You will work close to designers, engineers, and modelers, contributing throughout the design process with concepts, presentation material, and active participation in reviews and project meetings. Assignment description?
Create and deliver design proposals according to design brief and project constraints in assigned tasks.

Job Description
We are looking for a Visual Motion Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating creative 2D and/or 3D work, post-production work, VFX, and outstanding visual aesthetics, skills in technical integration, VR experience, and ability to art direct.

You will will create animated and static content for various applications including exterior and interior lighting. You have a strong eye for graphic design compositions complementing vehicle shape and form with a high attention to detail. You will work within the Technology & Innovation department, a cross-functional team where interdisciplinary focus, curiosity and drive are highly valued. You will work in close collaboration with all other design disciplines shaping the mobility experience of the future.

Requirements
MFA/BFA degree in Motion/Visual/Graphic Design, Digital Design or Interaction Design.
Excellent visual and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and communicate design concepts.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality content.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
Proficiency in industry-standard design software especially After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop and Figma.
Knowledge in 3D modelling, animation and rendering softwares (Such as Alias / Vred / Blender / Maya / 3Ds or C4d / Unity or Unreal Engine)
Experience in the automotive lighting design industry is a plus, with a focus on interactive elements for interior and exterior lighting systems.

You will be part of a team at Cliff Design and/or on site at our client studio with human machine Interaction responsibilities on the company group’s physical products. As Interaction Designer you will make sure that your design ideas fits within the holistic experience of our clients target group and you should always act as an advocate for the user and for user centric way of working .



Responsibilities and tasks

Research user need

Create design HMI/Interaction concepts and specifications based on the costumers’ expectation and brand values

Up to date with latest micro-interaction trends and state of the art UI

Conceptualize your ideas in deliverable material

Take a design from sketch phase to wireframes specifying the interaction concept

Perform tests and user clinics of your HMI/Interaction concept

Plan and moderate cross-functional workshop to ideate, form and shape a concept solutions

Communicate design input to projects/engineering

Improve the teams way of working



Requirements

Several years of experience working with development of digital communication services and/or hardware products in a system solution context within larger brand driven businesses

Master’s degree in Interaction Design/UX Design or similar education background.

An international mind-set with experience working in multi-cultural team

Excellent communication skills and ability to create trustful relationships.

Proven experience of translating customer needs into relevant solutions working with both qualitative and quantitative research in the development process.

Software such as Figma, Photoshop, After Effects and Blender

English, spoken and written

Preferred skills

Experience of UX Design/Interaction Design within both physical and digital products
