Our Technical Center in Gothenburg focus on complex systems and software development within active safety projects and we are working with a large number of global vehicle manufacturers. The Sensing Function Ownership position (SFO) is a customer facing role that requires a deep technical understanding while at the same time requires the soft skills needed in order to interface with customers and other stakeholders. You will be part of the system team and responsible for your specific function, working together with all internal and external development teams in order to ensure that we deliver the best system possible. In this role you will get to know the fundamental capabilities of the technology within Aptiv’s Radar and Camera based sensors for Active Safety. .


Your task
Be the interface for the internal projects and involved in the whole process from requirement identification to validation
SFO’s “owns” their own Vision function, so you must ensure that the negotiated requirements are being met and validated for use in serial production
Responsible for requirements analysis and break-down of the requirements to the software development team
Part of Agile PI planning and supporting the development teams with expertise knowledge during the sprints
Independently follow the technical development of your Vision function
Support the development team in development and testing of the software
Testing your system in vehicle in order to verify that your Vision function works as expected, verify bug reports, and analyze the functions performance
Through close team work with software and system engineers, project managers and internal customers, actively prioritize and solve issues that may occur in the function
Continuously follow up to make sure your function is delivered to the customer with agreed scope on time.
Work globally, across the Europe countries, Asia and North America – role might involve international and intercontinental travels multiple times a year
Leading technical evolution of our market-leading perception software solutions
Bringing latest development in perception technology and methodology into our solution stack
Assuring algorithm quality via sound design, requirement and comprehensive verification and validation according to Aptiv process and industry standards
Facilitate and Improving continuously development support factors, e.g., simulation tools and testing environment
Leading troubleshooting and root-causing issues for ongoing and upcoming programs and projects



Your skills
Bachelor or Master degree in electronics, telecommunication, robotics, software engineering, computer science, or equivalent
Proven leadership skills and good judgment regarding systems and software
Professional Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.





Nice to have
Experience of systems design within active safety
Experience in the areas of camera, radar, and/or fusion technologies.
Experience in the automotive and/or truck industry development (ISO26262, Regulations, etc.)
Experience working in an agile development environment
Intermediate to strong programming skills in Matlab, Python or C/C++
Understanding of product and software development process
Experience working with communication protocols, such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet
Knowledge of vector tools, such as CANoe, CANalyzer and CANape

Om rollen
I rollen som Hardware Functional Safety Engineer ansvarar du för att säkerställa att hårdvaruutvecklingen är säker, regelefterlevande och välstrukturerad genom hela livscykeln. Du arbetar i skärningspunkten mellan hårdvaruteknik, kvalitet och processledning.

Dina huvudsakliga ansvarsområden:
Funktionell säkerhet & Compliance: Säkerställa och driva processer för hårdvarusäkerhet i enlighet med gällande regelverk. Äga och underhålla säkerhetskrav och artefakter samt leda granskningar (reviews) och agera primär kontakt vid revisioner och säkerhetsbedömningar.
Processtransformation: Driva hårdvaruutvecklingen mot Git-baserade, versionshanterade arbetssätt. Implementera strukturerad artefakthantering och samarbeta med Tier 1-leverantörer för att leverera dokumentation i maskinläsbara format (t.ex. YAML, JSON eller Markdown).

Lead quote process from customer request throughout the acquisition phase. Ensure customer demands are managed through the appropriate APTIV processes such that all responses are consistent with company goals and objectives
Work closely with cross functional teams in commercial discussions with customer and internally, including Project management, Engineering, Finance etc.
Execute the team’s strategic plans for the customer, regularly report on progress of strategic goals and act to correct deviation/shortfall
Identify business development opportunities in your segment



Your background:
Strong focus on customer satisfaction and intimacy with a sense of urgency and bias for action
3<5 yrs Years of Relevant Experience
Education Background: Bachelor's Degree
Experience within automotive sales.
Experience within ASUX or ADAS is advantageous
Fluent English

Join Aptiv as a Quality Program Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in achieving flawless project launches and ensuring customer-driven excellence across every phase of product development. In this highly collaborative position, you’ll lead Advanced Quality Planning, champion the Voice of the Customer, and drive the creation of robust products and processes that consistently meet the highest quality standards. If you’re energized by cross-functional leadership, proactive problem-solving, and making a measurable impact on product performance and customer satisfaction, this role offers the opportunity to shape quality outcomes from concept through launch.


?YOUR ROLE
Be an easy to reach Aptiv contact for all quality related issues at customer plants.
Be the Voice of the Customer inside the Aptiv Organization to spread the Customers wishes and support NPS investigations upon request.
Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process or system.
Support the project quotation to ensure the fulfilment of customer requirements according to Aptiv quality standards.
Organize projects resources & quality planning
Customer requirements collection, review and sign-off
Manage the projects AQP: Risk management & escalation / AQP tasks monitoring / Audits / Problem solving (audits)
Report AQP performance during PDP gate reviews and program reviews, support design reviews
Power to veto on Gate Review
Support R@R process.
Assure PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) / PSW (part Submission Warrant) validation according customer needs & timing.
Perform PDP reporting and follow up relevant KPI´s.
Verify and contribute to a full implementation of Customer Specific Requirements in the development phase (Flow 4).
Follow up material related issues in prototype assembly. Reports improvements opportunities activities.



YOUR BACKGROUND
A Bachelors, Masters or equivalent in engineering or similar
3-5 years of automotive + engineering/quality or similar skills.
Ability to travel occasionally across EMEA
Fluent in English with Swedish fluency helpful but no essential
