Volvo Group, one of the global leaders in sustainable transports is looking for a hands-on leader to promote and develop a security conscious workplace. The right person will drive and support the delivery of Group Security Services within the appropriate region, for the protection of Volvo Group’s people, information, products, and assets.
Key Responsibilities and Scope:
The main areas of responsibility are; Risk Management, Crisis Management, Protective Services, Product Security, Travel Security and Investigations. The position will act as the point of contact on the site level within their region, but also take the role as an adviser, reviewer, responder and trainer. The main job tasks include, but are not limited to:
Contribute to the development and delivery of the Global Security Strategy and Group Security programs, objectives, and priorities.
Support the development and manage the implementation, and continuous refinement of security policies, standards, guidelines, instructions, and procedures to ensure on-going maintenance of security protocols.
Develop and maintain security awareness, including conducting trainings internally.
Provide subject matter expertise regarding regional security issues to senior site management for the benefit of all operations, including establishment of new sites and physical security of sites.
Respond to requests and questions from across the business and line management for advice and assistance by means of travel, surveys, investigations, and briefings.
Support security risk evaluations and sites annual risk assessment.
Conduct security surveys on site level, with the purpose to find gaps and support finding/recommend suitable solutions to mitigate the risks not being compliant entail.
Develop, establish, and train personnel in local crisis response teams.
Secure immediate response and information to travelers in crisis or emergency situations.
Conduct Security investigations such as, investigations of counterfeit, illegal diversion and product theft cases and background investigations.
Identify and evaluate threats, vulnerabilities, and consequent risks to the Volvo Group.
Act in close co-operation with other Volvo units globally to efficiently develop and deliver services and products with the right Quality, Delivery time and Cost within agreed budget.
Establish and maintain relationships regionally with security practitioners in other commercial sectors, intelligence networks, law enforcement and other related government/intelligence agencies.
Gather intelligence to understand, identify and address any threats against the Volvo Group.
As a Volvo Senior Leader:
Contribute to the overall development of strategic goals, performance metrics, communication practices and culture.
Create the necessary internal networks among IT Security, Group Security, Group Compliance, Group Audit, Group Legal and HR management teams to ensure alignment as required.
Build effective relations with business management whilst ensuring accountability and professionalism.
Build and nurture external networks consisting of industry peers, ecosystem partners, vendors, and other relevant parties to address common trends, findings, incidents and risks.
Give a strong image of the unit and be in line with the Volvo Groups values and principles (The Volvo Way, Code of Conduct).
Educational Experience and Preferred Knowledge:
Fluent in Swedish
Relevant University degree or comparable education or combination of both
Several years’ experience as a protective security practitioner, several years at a senior level with strategic responsibilities
A law enforcement or intelligence background, or relevant corporate experience
A CPP certification
