Task and Responsibilities:


Participate in Vehicle projects and be the Cab Analysis responsible in your area
Analysis Support to Design departments at Cab ( Interior, Exterior and Body in White )
Initiate and perform AE to bring analysis methods forward.


Technical expert for his/her discipline. Perform complex simulations/analyses.
Plan and lead simulation/analysis activities.
Take responsibility for the fidelity of the simulations/analyses
Manage network across the organization.
Train and mentor less experienced Simulation & Analysis Engineers.


Competence and Skills:


We are seeking you who have a M Sc / Ph D in field of FE-analysis.
You should have several years of experience of FE-tools and FE-analysis in automotive area.
You should enjoy working in a flexible team. Be able to change focus depending on the situation. Working in networks is a part of our daily work. You should take initiatives and make decisions based on knowledge and facts.

Responsibilities
Receiving and Processing Requests:
Gather component function lists and switchmaps at project initiation.
Monitor component evolution, providing support to Interior designers and syncing with HMI icon library responsible.
Receive requests via project meetings, emails, chat, Jira, or self-generated from design reviews.
Ensure existing function icons are documented from approved data sources and maintain version control.

Timely Deliveries:
Deliver assets anywhere from concept stage to final design, depending on availability and project phase.
Distribute deliverables to designers and modellers via project collaboration platforms.

Delivery Format:
Provide assets in PDF format for reference and DXF format for CAD/DSM import.
Fulfill requests for other formats such as SVG/PNG for VR applications.
Include icons and metadata, scaled, with appropriate line-weight and positioning on CAD designs.

Adapting to Workflow Changes:
Adjust workflow as design operations transition between entities.
Continue support through collaboration folders, ensuring smooth handover.
Adapt to changes in transparency and structure, particularly in response to trends.

Collaboration with Design and Engineering Teams:
Respond to requests and tasks from the Interior Component team and occasionally from the HMI & UX team on a weekly basis, focusing more heavily on later project phases.
Address functions transitioning between digital and physical realms, ensuring consistency and visual integrity.
Be the speaking partner to Engineering side in all projects and the one who actively seeks out what parts need icons and what symbol is to be represented in every project.

Legal requirements:
Stay up to date on ISO regulations and other legal demands related to automotive icons.


Qualifications
Requirements
Degree in Graphics design, Interaction design, human computer interaction, or related field. Or equivalent relevant education.
Proficiency in a graphic design or CAD software, particularly Adobe Illustrator.
Proficiency in Figma, the industry-leading design and prototyping tool
Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira and collaboration platforms like Teams and SharePoint.
Knowledge about ISO regulations and other legal demands around automotive icons.
Knowledge about different demands on line thicknesses, curvature etc, for different manufacturing methods (printing, etching, molded, backlit, chromed etc).
Minimum 7 years relevant work experience.
+10 years solid working experience from automotive industry is required.
Experience from collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of designers, researchers, engineers, strategists and product managers throughout the design process.
Fluent in English, spoken and written.
Work will be performed in Studio in Sweden

Om tjänsten
I din roll som Testingenjör kommer du ha en bred och varierad roll. Du kommer ingå i ett team på totalt 16 personer och detta är ett relativt juniort team med olika bakgrunder, där du kommer få bra stöttning inledningsvis. Teamet fokuserar främst på testning av växellådan på lastbilar, det förekommer även testning av små komponenter till stora motorsystem och bakaxel. Utförandet av testerna du kommer utföra på daglig basis sker både i de olika riggarna och i vagnar. Du kommer främst jobba med hårdvara men med inslag av att jobba mjukvarunära då teamet arbetar nära fordonet. De främsta språk du kommer jobba med är Matlab och Python.

There is now an opportunity for you to join us in the Vehicle dynamics, ADAS and Automation team within Complete Vehicle, as Experienced Test Engineer Ride comfort within Complete Vehicle.

As an Experienced Test Engineer, you are responsible for leading the test by planning, executing, and reporting feature and function tests within the Ride comfort area. You will be working very closely with engineering departments in different technology streams and vehicle streams.
Your main task is to define strategies for how to perform tests within ride comfort area including new technologies. Identify the verification needs for Features, function test in order define test requirements. Create test plan. Manage, plan, prepare, and execute the test. Analyze results and give recommendations in their respective technology area. Prepare and manage fault reports from tests. Document results and compile the engineering report (ER). Continuously update Test Methods and propose updates of Technical Requirement together with the technology areas. Define strategies and develop test methods for new technologies, transport solutions within features

Testing is the heart of Complete Vehicle, and it is a strategic area where extensive development and substantial challenges will happen in the coming 5 years.

Who are you?

* M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, or equivalent professional experience.
* You have at least 3 years of working experience within vehicle dynamics testing from the automotive industry, preferably within development or verification
* Minimum 1 year of experience in vehicle instrumentation, test setup (vehicle preparation, etc.), test data collection (test track, public road), test data management (file format, storing/uploading and reuse), frequency analysis and interpretation of results, and writing reports
* Knowledge about agile way of working
* Have a holistic view, communicative, work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with stakeholders
* Demonstrate proactiveness, flexibility and motivated to learn
* Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
* Good to have: C/CE License

What you will do

Combustion system control group is responsible for developing combustion control strategies and embedded SW for heavy duty combustion engines for the complete Volvo Group.
We work in close cooperation with other SW development teams at Volvo GTT, contributing also to onboard diagnostics, after-treatment and electro-mobility functionality.
We have many interesting challenges in front of us to develop control strategies and embedded SW solutions to drastically lower the emissions and fuel consumption from our future combustion engines. New functionality is needed to support the transfer from diesel engines to fossil free fuel for example hydrogen and biodiesel.
We work according to agile principles with autonomous scrum teams, taking full responsibility for their deliverables. The teams work with development of system solutions, software design, implementation and verification of complete functions. Verification is performed in SIL, HIL as well as on engine or in vehicles. We are responsible for the entire development chain from early project phases to maintenance.

Who are you?

You have a master’s degree mechatronics area or related, and previous experience from embedded software development in the automotive industry with great attitude and a willingness to learn. You are innovative and creative and like to share knowledge with colleagues. Experience from H2-ICE development is meriting.
