Let us describe the challenge we offer

As Polestar grows, we need to continue to strengthen our Internal Controls team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced and challenging organization. This role will be part of the Polestar global internal controls team and be located at Polestar Lindholmen in Gothenburg. This role reports to the Global Head of Internal Control.

What you'll do

You will join a global, dynamic team that currently consists of nine colleagues. Your main responsibility will be to advise business operations on internal controls over financial reporting to meet the requirements of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX). Key responsibilities/activities will include:

- Coach and advise management and business operations to identify risks over financial reporting, design and carry out effective controls and remediate identified deficiencies.

- Provide training to employees to enhance awareness of Internal Controls and SOX requirements and to empower control owners.

- Manage and oversee periodic testing of design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.

- Analyze results, draw conclusions, and report on the strength of Polestar’s control environment.

- Participate in business operations improvement activities and propose ways to enhance existing processes over time.

- Regularly interact with senior stakeholders/managers within the organization, both verbally and in writing.

Polestar has a global footprint, and you will be interacting and collaborating with a diverse and international team of colleagues in all areas of the business.

Who you are

You have a relevant university degree and a minimum of four years financial audit or internal control experience, preferably with a technical accounting and/or Big 4 background. You have knowledge of SOX requirements and the COSO control framework. Certifications such as CA, CPA or ACA are preferred, but not required.

For this role, you need to have a strong business acumen, be curious and performance driven, and enjoy the challenge of unfamiliar tasks. You are a fast learner who can embrace change and adapt quickly to accommodate the needs of a growing business. You can multi-task and prioritize based on relevance. You excel at both critical thinking and communication (which includes active listening) to be able to understand the management perspective and propose creative solutions.

This position will involve limited international travel, the vast majority of the work will be performed in Gothenburg. As part of an international business, you are expected to be fluent in English in both written and oral communication.

Lämplig bakgrund

Du har mycket god finansiell förståelse och en god grund för redovisningen kopplad till Treasury. Group Treasury drives business value by capitalizing and mitigating financial risks. We have a group wide and global responsibility for the management of all financial risks, funding, payment infrastructure and bank relationships.

Senior Funding Manager – this is what you’ll do
We’re looking for a Senior Funding Manager to join the Cash & Treasury Risk Management Team, which has a group wide responsibility for Cash Management, i.e. payments and collection infrastructure, bank accounts, cash concentration and subsidiary funding as well as Treasury Risk Management, which includes macro analysis, global debt funding activities, liquidity management and managing the Group’s risk exposure related to currencies, commodities and interest rates. Effectively the team functions as the Groups internal bank. 

You will play an important role within Treasury and wider Volvo Cars working in the area of Treasury Risk Management and specifically funding. As Senior Funding Manager you will be  involved in determining the funding strategy for the Group, evaluating relevant funding instruments and markets and be responsible for execution of bond issuances and loan facilities as well as managing the interest rate risk for the Group. The job includes everything from identifying loan requirements and exploring possible solutions to negotiating terms and documentation with financial institutions. Relations with banks and financial institutions is also a vital part of this position as well as contribution to the wider Treasury team in liquidity management. You will report to the Head of Cash & Treasury Risk Management.

You will work in close collaboration with both external and internal stakeholders. 

Location: The position is based at Volvo Cars HQ in Gothenburg.

Your tasks and responsibilities in this position will be:
You will lead the Volvo Car Group´s global funding activities. Some of your responsibilities will be to manage bank relationships related to the Group’s external funding as well as develop policies, processes and procedures in financing risk management and ensure implementation to the operations. Part of the scope is also to manage, plan, and follow up on the overall debt and funding strategy of the Group. You will be responsible for identifying the funding tools and instruments available and for the execution of any debt funding in the Group, as well as ensuring optimal risk management to mitigate the financial risks, interest rate and foreign exchange, related to the funding portfolio. Further, you will manage and negotiate complex loan documentations with financial counterparts together with corporate legal counsel. You will represent Group Treasury, and its interests, in different strategic initiatives as well as contribute to general tasks within Treasury Risk Management such as liquidity management.

We’re looking for you!
•    University degree in Finance, Legal, Engineering or Computer/Systems Science.
•    Relevant work experience from Corporate Treasury and/or Bank
•    You make things happen and want to develop and contribute to the wider Treasury team
•    You have a strong interest in financial markets
•    You have a robust knowledge and understanding of Treasury as well as familiarity with financial risk management, preferably with robust theoretical knowledge in financial mathematics or similar
•    Proven track record of negotiating loan agreements with banks 
•    You are a functional leader with high integrity and excellent project management skills
•    You are a target-oriented individual who has a drive to proactively improve and challenge, with ability to take own initiative and solve issues.

This position is located at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden, including time at our Hällered proving ground. The responsibilities
It’s a role with global reach, with both R&D center in UK and SWE. The company HQ is in Sweden, and business units across Europe, China and US and in addition to this the role has many external interfaces with strategic partners and suppliers.

As Manager you will be a key function enhancing Polestar’s further journey with the area of Vehicle Motion Control. You will be responsible for leading the teams planning and execution of the assigned projects, as well as are closely involved in the day-to-day activities and execute team tasks yourself. You report to the department manager within the EE unit and you will be a member of the leadership team.

The areas you and your team are responsible for:

- Brakes and steering, partly suspension

- Systems engineering, requirements on functional level, sub-system level and component level

- Function design

- Tuning activities (simulation to in-vehicle)

- Supplier SW handling

- System Safety - ISO26262

- Simulations development

- HIL, SIL and MIL concept and implementation

- Advanced Engineering

- Road-map and strategies

The ideal candidate

The responsibilities
To comply and improve how we work at Polestar, you will lead, drive, and improve ISO and Audit performance as part of our Quality team. In this role, you will be the process owner of the QMS/EMS with an overall responsibility over the management system, internal & external audits as well as renewal of audits and training/communication related to the system. You will be managing a core team and ensure that the IT solutions meet expectations and provide system administration and technical support. See below for a more thorough breakdown of the various tasks and areas you'll be responsible for:

- Promote the management systems as an integrated part of the daily business.

- Ensure system consistency and coordinate process owner’s tasks.

- Be a point of contact for external ISO- certification body. To plan, guide during the execution of the annual ISO- audits as well as the repercussions from an external ISO audit.

- Monthly status report, the handling of internal and external audits non- conformities and improvements in PSCDS - Polestar Company Deviation System.

- Provide onboarding and training for team members.

- Knowledge of ISO 26262, ISO 24089 and ISO 21434, ISO 17025, ISO 27001, and an understanding of UN ECE R155/R156.

- English level - Advance (C1) is requested.

The responsibilities

In this role, your main focus will be the ongoing management of inventory funding, retail financing, and retail insurance products and related services with a primary focus on retail finance. To be able to do this we need to quality assure our projects - We are therefore growing this team within quality. In this role you will develop and manage product data from External Quality Surveys, making sure our quality targets are met enabling an efficient Lessons Learned in our car programs.

This position is located at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden. We believe in a hybrid model when it comes to remote and onsite work, knowing that both in-person collaboration and individual time to focus are needed. The responsibilities
As a Data Analyst, you will a part of our Quality Management & Business Assurance team, where you will be responsible for develop and manage product data from External Quality Surveys. You will give input to FMA work to secure quality targets are met and avoid reoccurrence of customer dissatisfaction and provide information to line and business operation to take informed and data driven decisions. See below for a more thorough breakdown of the various tasks and areas you'll be responsible for:

- Collect, integrate and manage data from various sources within and outside the organisation for analytical use. Produce and manage data products for quality matters, following the data governance and architectural standards.

- Analyze data to uncover meaningful patterns, trends and relationships. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to Future OS, Programs and Line organisations. Create and manage analytical products, such as dashboards, reports and visualizations to support business decisions.

- Develop, implement and maintain customer surveys for the business area and its related responsibilities. Collect, analyze and interpret data to extract actionable insights and prove recommendations or decision making.

- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards. Establish data owners and data stewards to manage data assets, following data governance.

- Understand business requirements, manage the backlog and the prioritization process.

- Collaborate with various teams to understand requirements and address specific data and analytics needs.

Furthermore, you will be the trusted advisor and representative for data and analytics for the Quality Management area, working closely with different internal stakeholders.

What you’ll do
In this role you will be fully focused on the quality of Polestar products. You will assure that Polestar have the right focus to immediately identify any potential quality defect by using all possible sources of information and secure fast solutions.

Except from internal Polestar cooperations, you will also work in close collaboration with Volvo Cars and Geely in the areas of Product Quality, Product Compliance, Research & Development, and Customer Service etc.
